英语阅读：伊朗展示新武器 cutting-edge drones

“英语阅读”训练要领很简单：“读”的阅读，英语(而非中文)“用”的越多。过好这关，英语听说读写译(应试教育英语除外)就再没过不了的“坎”。

从我以下的“英语阅读”训练中，是不是能一一“戳中”你的“七寸”：疼！

一、以下“英语阅读”，至少让我们“用到(说到)了”四处完整句子的英语(思维)

否则，你的“英语阅读”只是在纯粹地“用”中文，“扩大”词汇量而已，但根本不是“英语阅读”：“英语阅读”不是在你的“中文含义是什么”的“词库”的不断添加英语啊！

二、可是我们的“英语阅读”都没做到，做到的只是“我懂它的中文了”

但是，你在“英语阅读”中的英语“说的能力”，“用的能力”，在哪呢？

从高中开始，它一直就“没有变”，只是“说”中文一直代替了“说”英语而已，然后我们便谓之“英语阅读”了。

1) Iran kicked off its latest military drill

1.Okay.I got you.If Iran kicked off its latest military drill,it began/launched a drill.

2.If you kick off something,you begin it,you start it,you launch it.

3.英语“暗示”自己：

Okay.I got you.Next time,if I want to say We begin our basketball,I will nit say begin it,I'll say We kick off the game.

“读”英语kick off时，你“用”(已知)英语began,start,launch等了吗？

没有！你“只问”：中文什么意思？或者“说”中文：开始。

2) Iran kicked off its latest military drill

1. Okay.Got it.Iran kicked off its latest military drill means Iran began its newest military exercise.

2. military drill is a military exercise.

伟人说过：能调出全军就是胜利。同样，“英语阅读”能“读”成这样(英语“读”阅读，英语“用”阅越多)，就是“胜利”。中文意思“懂不懂”已经不是考虑的问题。

3) showcasing the country's surface-to-surface missiles

showcase(中文)“不懂”，是吧？

Okay.I got you.If we show something,we feature something,we exhibit something,we display something,we can say We showcade something.

只需“借助”英语，“懂”英语了吧？“说”中文就无法“回想”这些(已知)英语。

也只有通过用英语理解英语，我才有机会从修辞学“好”和“更好”知道：嗯，说showcase sth.是比说show something“逼格”，“语不惊人死不休”些。

4) the country's surface-to-surface missiles

不要“说”surface-to-surface missile的“中文：地对地导弹”好不好？

“说”它的英语：Okay.Got you.A surface-to-surface missile is different from a surface-to-air missile,or an air-to-air missile(=rocket).

这样的“英语阅读”不就把(已知)英语“盘活”了吗？“说”中文“地对地导弹”能有同样效果吗？

6) and cutting-edge drones on January 15. 

Okay.Got you.Something cutting-edge is something advantageous,

something sophisticated.

我知道，英语sophisticated对你来说“少见少用”，但如果你不在这样的“阅读”中“用一用”，你就更没机会用之：不要指望有跟老外面对面用上的那天！

7) and cutting-edge drones on January 15. 

A drone is a remote-controlled airplane without a pilot.

这样的英语“不说”(也不会说)，却“说”中文“无人机”，学过的英语remote-controlled airplane without a pilot等待何时才能“用”？

只要你不放弃用中文学英语的“坏习惯”，你永远“享受不到”英语“读”的越多，“用”的越多的“快乐阅读”。
