 博物微观丨西晋铜三轮鸠车 Splendors of Luoyang Museum：Bronze Pigeon Car of the Western Jin Dynasty 《博物微观》带您触摸华夏文明发展脉搏，感受千年古都历史文化。 Splendors of Luoyang Museum takes you to touch the pulse of Chinese civilization and feel the history and culture of this millennium ancient capital. 鸠车为古代儿童玩具。史书记载自汉代以来儿童：“年五岁有鸠车之乐，小儿五岁有鸠车之戏。”这件西晋铜三轮鸠车，1989年于洛阳偃师晋墓中出土，高6.5厘米，呈一可爱的长尾鸠鸟形，胸前有一可供牵引的环鼻，两翼呈车轮状，尾部下方有一小圆轮。与“尊老”相对应，汉代社会亦提倡爱幼，这也是汉代鸠车流行的重要原因。《左传》中曾提到：“鸠之养其子，朝从上下，暮从下上，平均如一。”反映出鸠在养子时的舐犊之情。鸠在古代还有平安之意，汉代人把鸠鸟视为一种瑞鸟，“鸠”与“久”谐音，所以鸠鸟蕴含“长久”、“久安”等美好寓意。传达出大人们希望孩子安乐长久的愿望，这件西晋铜三轮鸠车反映了汉代风俗在晋代的延续。 Pigeon car is an ancient children's toy. Historical books recorded that children have the joy of playing pigeon cars at the age of five since the Han Dynasty. Unearthed in the Jin Tomb of Yanshi County， Luoyang in 1989， the bronze three-wheel pigeon car of the Western Jin Dynasty is 6.5cm high and in the shape of a lovely long tailed pigeon. There is a ring nose on the chest for traction， two wings in the shape of wheels， and a small round wheel under the tail. The Han Dynasty advocated loving the young in response to Chinese custom of “respecting the elderly”， which was also an important reason for the popularity of pigeon cars in the Han Dynasty. The classic， Zuo’s Commentary， described that “a pigeon raises offspring from the morning to the evening with full care”， reflecting the bonding between parental pigeon and its cubs when cubs are in the nest and after fledging. The pigeon was symbolic of peace in ancient times. People regarded the pigeon as a kind of auspicious bird in the Han Dynasty. “Pigeon” is the homonymous word with Chinese character “Jiu” in pronunciation， so “Jiu” contains good wishes for assuring long， peaceful and harmonious life. This bronze three-wheel pigeon car in the Western Jin Dynasty reflects the continuation of the custom of the Han Dynasty in the Jin Dynasty.
