4 Poemsin English by Peter Wang 1. I was sitting on my boat and I knew notwhere I should row. Vanity was leading my boat, but I felt empty. up and down,up and down, I with my boat jolted on the sea of desires. Until you came to my side before I knew it.And you called me again and again till I woke up from the numbness of my heart.At that moment, I was filled with joy and the violent sea suddenly was intranquility. I have nothing to offer but my life, whichyou created and chose to save. I was stained by desires but you washed them oneby one. I dreamt of pulling myself up from thechair of secure world, and dreamt of purify myself in the river of dirty water.How ridiculous it was！ You look at me from the beginning of the universe,and begin your work on me before I was created. How amazing it is! 2. It is the joyful songs in loneliness To the sky and to the ocean Where the splendor of thy coming Awake my soul of slumber. I am discarded by this secular world But I am treasured by thou ,my lord The grace you filled my heart has neverdisappeared It is the joyful songs in loneliness. 3. In the peaceful night I sing in low voice For the light and love by day To dispel the desolateness and loneliness Night is still, and everything at rest Only those who are awake can taste The night without light Singing is the best consoler As inner love and truth are in it Darkness is without light Hate is without love Worldly sadness are accumulating indarkness No hesitation! Let’s to the same beat Sing our loneliness and worries And then fall asleep soundly Forgetfulness is the best cure Commending you to God is the best belief 4. God and Dream I look and look for the earth, Beyond the paradise I think and think of God Beyond the earth Falling asleep, I had a sweet dream In which I met God Who is a beautiful young man Naughty and playful That’s why I could create the world He told me so. |
