  艺术的发展史是人类文明共同交融发展而成,不可能是一枝独秀,当代艺术家应该站在人类文明的视野去思考问题,才能知道本国的文明高度。对生命的悲悯与尊重是现代文明社会的基本内核,也是艺术家的基本心质。艺术家的作品体现了对生命的关爱,对社会的体验,对世界的认知。在疫情不便之际我通过线上交流展的方式,以"各境与相望"作为展览的主题,让艺术家用艺术作品来沟通彼此、传递关爱、融合文明,让艺术拥抱世界。

   The development history of art is the integration and development of human civilization, which can not stand alone. Contemporary artists should think from the perspective of human civilization in order to know the height of their own civilization. Compassion and respect for life is not only the basic core of modern civilized society, but also the basic essence of artists. The artist's works embody the love for life, the experience of society and the cognition of the world. At a time when the epidemic situation is inconvenient, I use the online exchange exhibition to take "all environments and facing each other" as the theme of the exhibition, so that artists can use their works of art to communicate with each other, convey love, integrate civilization, and let art embrace the world.

Chinese artist

Born in Shanghai in 956. He is a painter of Shanghai Chinese Academy of painting, a member of Shanghai Artists Association and Shanghai Lin Fengmian Art Research Association. He is now the deputy director of the ink edge studio of the Academy of fine arts of Shanghai University and the deputy editor in chief of the ink edge magazine.

《无人之境》

   我观察一个艺术家首先看他有没有独立思考的能力,有没有敢为天下先的反潮流精神。这种能力和精神来自艺术家自身生命的需要,几乎是优秀艺术家的一种本能,完全不同于那些头脑活络之人为博取快速成功而赶时髦制造出来的噱头。

   季平的花鸟画完全打破了固定的程式。自古以来直至今日画坛似乎从未见过这种“季平模式”的写意花鸟画。其实对他而言形成这种风格是自然的事。是从内心深处自然流淌而出,也是他长期艺术探索的自然结果。并不是为了追求“可识别性”而生硬造将出来的东西。

   花鸟画是完全不同于西方的一种艺术样式。中国花鸟画家以平等的心态去描绘一茎小草或一虫一鸟。在这里人不再是主宰世界,傲视万物的霸王,普世博爱的精神跃然纸上,反映了中国人的自然观和价值观,我们可以从中体悟到中国哲学之魅力。

季平笔下的花鸟显然出自传统。我们甚至可从他的某些画面中找出古画中的原型。然而,他又不是在照搬复传统。他从传统出发,却走上了一条自己的路径。

   简而言之,季平的花鸟画属于“瞎画”一路。他在人物画领域中就有“瞎画”的实践基础,一旦运用到花鸟画中似乎更是得心应手,恣意纵横,无拘无束,真正进入了“无人之境”,有痛快、直率、淋漓之感。

季平笔下的花鸟,有时甚至有些难看,但画面是美的。这是很奇怪的矛盾组合。很多人无法接受这种“难看的美”。人们乐于看画中所描绘对象之美,而从不关注画面之美。这种对画面结构之美、气韵之美、内蕴之美的漠视,正是我们今天欣赏现代美术作品中的一个“坎儿”。设想一下,让我们跳出欣赏绘画作品的思维定势,或许就能获得进入现代艺术王国的签证。

   艺术家所取得的成就,往往和他的学术选择有很大的关系。有的艺术家本该坚持自己的学术定位,却心猿意马,朝三暮四,尝试着各种新的花样,这样的“创新”其实和他的基因并不匹配,却又丢失了原先拥有的深厚基础,两头落空,一事无成。

   有的艺术家经过长期努力,形成了自己的风格语言和塑造手段。但有了一套之后却再也不敢越雷池半步,束手束脚,跳不出自己固有的窠臼,变成一个没有活力的艺术家,终究淹没在习惯的守势之中。

   I observe an artist first to see whether he has the ability to think independently and whether he has the anti trend spirit of daring to be the first in the world. This kind of ability and spirit comes from the needs of the artist's own life. It is almost an instinct of excellent artists. It is completely different from the gimmicks made by those active minded people to catch up with the fashion for quick success.

  Ji Ping's flower and bird painting completely broke the fixed procedure. From ancient times to today, the painting world seems to have never seen this "Ji Ping mode" freehand flower and bird painting. In fact, it is natural for him to form this style. It flows naturally from the depths of his heart and is also the natural result of his long-term artistic exploration. It's not something that's hard to make in pursuit of "recognizability".

  Flower and bird painting is an art style completely different from the West. Chinese flower and bird painters depict a stalk of grass or a worm and a bird with an equal attitude. Here, people are no longer the overlord who dominates the world and despises all things. The spirit of universal love is on paper, which reflects the Chinese people's outlook on nature and values, from which we can understand the charm of Chinese philosophy.

Ji Ping's flowers and birds are obviously from tradition. We can even find the archetypes in ancient paintings from some of his pictures. However, he is not copying tradition. Starting from tradition, he embarked on his own path.

  In short, Ji Ping's flower and bird paintings belong to "blind painting". He has the practical basis of "blind painting" in the field of figure painting. Once applied to flower and bird painting, he seems to be more handy, arbitrary and unrestrained. He really entered the "no man's land" and has a pleasant, straightforward and incisive feeling.

   The flowers and birds in Ji Ping's works are sometimes even ugly, but the picture is beautiful. This is a strange combination of contradictions. Many people cannot accept this "ugly beauty". People are happy to see the beauty of the objects depicted in the painting, but never pay attention to the beauty of the picture. This indifference to the beauty of picture structure, charm and connotation is just a "Kaner" in our appreciation of modern art works today. Imagine that if we jump out of the mindset of appreciating paintings, we may be able to get a visa to enter the kingdom of modern art.

  The achievements of an artist are often closely related to his academic choice. Some artists should have insisted on their own academic orientation, but they were distracted and tried all kinds of new tricks. In fact, such "innovation" did not match his genes, but lost the deep foundation they had, and failed at both ends.

  Some artists have formed their own style language and shaping means after long-term efforts. However, after having a set, he never dared to step beyond the thunder pool, tied his hands and feet, unable to jump out of his inherent pattern and become an inactive artist, which was eventually submerged in the defensive of habit.

艺术思考:

我的作品以抽象的字体开始,作为更复杂成分的结构基础。这些信件构成了单词和句子,将故事作为我个人历史的交替记录。梦幻般地扭曲着我所知道的人和地方,哀叹着那些已经改变和消失的人,把他们的记忆保存在这些理想化的、但暂时的空间里。我是一个沟通艺术家,了解物理和数字公共空间。在这两个层面之间漂泊,我的作品既为档案的永恒而奋斗,也为适时的衰败而奋斗。从这个意义上说,短暂的绘画行为产生了比我更长久的东西,而记录过程产生了比艺术对象更长久的记忆。

Artistic Thinking:

My work begins as abstract letterforms which serve as a structural basis for more complex compositions. These letters form words and sentences, to make stories as alternate records of my personal history. A dreamlike warping of people and places I have known, laments those that have changed and disappeared, preserving their memory in these idealized, yet temporary spaces. I am a communication artist, informed by physical and digital communal spaces. Drifting in between these planes, my work strives for both an archival eternity, and a timely decay. In this sense the ephemeral act of drawing produces something which can outlive me, and the process of documentation produces a memory which can outlive the art object.

艺术思考:

刘军画中的情境,有着人与人,亲情与亲情之间的那种陌生关系。这正是人们所忽略的一个问题,刘军试着把这些融入画中,期待着引起人们的理解和关注。正是这个有着敏感神经的人,给我们带来了全新的视觉境界,窥探着摸不着的灵魂,进行深层次的心理发掘,这种心灵的揭示,正是一种弥补,是一个艺术家的真情回报来弥补现代文明所造成的心理裂痕和创伤。

Artisic thinking:

The situation in Liu Jun's paintings has the strange relationship between people, between family and affection. This is exactly a problem that people overlook, and Liu Jun tries to integrate these into the painting, hoping to attract people's understanding and attention. It is this person with sensitive nerves that brings us a new visual realm, peering into the untouchable soul, carrying out deep psychological exploration, and the revelation of this soul is exactly a kind of compensation, an artist's true return to make up for the psychological cracks and trauma caused by modern civilization.

艺术思考:

人与动物的交流所具有的美的价值

   宠物不知不觉地进入了我们的生活,而且已有很多人把它们当作同伴。我们给宠物起名,一起分享温暖,和它们交流从人身上感受不到的特殊的感情。有些人会用不太友善的眼光看待这种景象,认为这是一种奢侈,但有些人却说,应该更加尊重宠物。我觉得现在正是要考虑如何与宠物自然共存的时机。

小狗不只是单纯的宠物狗,它已经超越了人和狗这一物种的界限,是能够沟通和交流的家庭一员。诺贝尔文学奖获得者'阿纳托尔·法朗士’说;“在爱上一个动物之前,我们的灵魂都还未觉醒。”

Artistic thinking:

  Companion animal is recognized as being incorporated to family. We give a name to companion animal, share warmth and exchange special emotion that cannot be felt among people. Some see it in an unfavorable perspective and consider it a lavish. But, some say that we must respect companion animal more. Now is the time to consider and find a way to coexist with companion animal naturally.

Puppy is not a simple pet. Beyond the border of species between human and dog, it is a member of family that enables to communicate and to sympathize.'Anatole France’ a winner of Nobel Prize in Literature, once remarked that “Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

中国艺术家

1981年生于江苏海安;2007年毕业于中央美术学院油画系第二工作室获硕士学位,2016年毕业于中央美术学院研究生院(当代油画方向)获博士学位,清华大学美术学院博士后经历,清华大学吴冠中艺术研究中心研究员,民进大兴第二届青年工作委员会委员,北京市朝阳区油画家协会理事,副教授,硕士生导师,任教于北京化工大学艺术与设计系。作品曾被中国美术馆、恭王府博物馆、文化部艺术服务中心、北京市政协等重要单位收藏。

Chinese artist

Born in 1981 in Hai'an, Jiangsu Province; He graduated from the second studio of the oil painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and received a master's degree. In 2016, he graduated from the Graduate School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (direction of contemporary oil painting) and received a doctor's degree. He has postdoctoral experience in the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University, a researcher of Wu Guanzhong art research center of Tsinghua University, a member of the second youth working committee of Minjin Daxing, and a director of Beijing Chaoyang District Oil Painters Association, Associate Professor, master supervisor, teaches in the Department of art and design of Beijing University of chemical technology. His works have been collected by the China Art Museum, Prince Gong's mansion Museum, the art service center of the Ministry of culture, the Beijing Municipal CPPCC and other important units.

艺术思考:

在我的内心我一直在寻找一个理想式的画面,她是中国的。作为西方的绘画表现语言形式之一的油画,在当代语境下如何将她和中国的绘画语言相融合是我们当下可以研究的课题。我衷爱西方的古典绘画,同时我又非常迷恋宋、元、明时期的山水画和文人画。我试图在我的绘画中找到一个契合点—意境与形式的完美融合。叙事性日常场景、古典式静谧格调以及现代建筑空间的巧妙融合,这是我常用的表现手法之一。这种现代古典意识与唯美情节,作品并不刻意追求西方绘画透视的同时又减弱画面的空间和时间的关系,以光线,色彩,和画面的二维分割为手法来诠释的画面关系使我自由地游走在视觉与文化的桃花源中。

Artistic thinking

In my heart, I have been looking for an ideal picture. She is Chinese. As one of the language forms of Western painting, oil painting, in the contemporary context, how to integrate it with Chinese painting language is a topic we can study at present. I love western classical painting. At the same time, I am very infatuated with landscape painting and literati painting in the song, yuan and Ming Dynasties. I try to find a coincidence point in my painting - the perfect integration of artistic conception and form. The ingenious integration of narrative daily scenes, classical quiet style and modern architectural space is one of my commonly used techniques. This modern classical consciousness and aesthetic plot do not deliberately pursue the perspective of Western painting, but weaken the relationship between space and time of the picture. The picture relationship interpreted by means of light, color and two-dimensional segmentation of the picture makes me walk freely in the Peach Blossom Land of vision and culture.
