Autosuggestion

Autosuggestion is a term which applies to all suggestions and all self-administered stimuli which reach one’s mind through the five senses. Stated in another way, autosuggestion is self-suggestion. It is the agency of communication between that part of the mind where conscious thought take place, and that which serves as the seat of action for the subconscious mind.

Recall what has been said about the subconscious mind resembling a fertile garden spot, in which weeds will grow in abundance, if the seeds of more desirable crops are not sown therein. Autosuggestion is the agency of control through which an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of the mind.

自我暗示

所有暗示和所有自我掌控的刺激一旦通过五大感官进入了人的内心世界，都可称之为自我暗示。换句话说，自我暗示就是自己对自己的暗示。自我暗示是大脑里控制思想意识的部分与控制潜意识的部分两者之间沟通的媒介，而后者正是控制人们的外部行为的枢纽。

有人曾说过，潜意识就像花园中一块肥沃的土地，如果不在上面播下所希望成长的种子，就只会杂草丛生。自我暗示便是一种控制的媒介，经过这一媒介，一个人可以自动地用创造的思想去滋养潜意识。反之，如果忽视这种媒介，那么破坏性的思想就会进入大脑的那块沃土，并在那里生根发芽。
