Have you done any embarrassing thing before? Well, at least I did.

Once there was a waitress asked me to order food, but I was attracted by their restaurant’s story on their menu.

Then I asked the waitress if I could finish reading the story first, then I would order food.

I think my friend who was with me must be super embarrassing.

Welcome back. Hmm... In this dialogue, the man was doing an embarrassing thing and that made him very uncomfortable,

Ok. Now let’s learn some important pronunciation tips first.

1. 辅音+元音连读：

1. lingerie [ˌlɑːndʒəˈreɪ] n. 女式贴身内衣裤；女内衣；女睡衣

It is women's underwear and nightclothes.

它是女士内衣和睡衣。

补充：

lingerie这个词源自法语linge，本意是“亚麻布，亚麻布制品”。

在法语中，lingerie泛指一切内衣，不分性别；在英语中，广义是指女式内衣和晚上穿的居家服。

lingerie之所以贵，一个很大的原因是高质量、有质量保证的织料的来源地受限（目前仍主要是欧洲），而质量是选择内衣时除了式样一定要首先考虑的因素，因为好的质量意味着舒适、透气、更好的随身性以及耐磨损。

Well, it is impolite, negative and informal to say like this. It won’t be a good idea to talk to your boss like this.

嗯，这样说是不礼貌的、消极的、非正式的。像这样和你的老板说话不是个好主意。

If you don't get the hell out of here straight away, I'll lock you up for disturbing the peace and I'll never let you out.

2. Get this over with. 赶紧结束这一切。

It means you want to finish it really quickly. But you want to finish it because you're not really enjoying it.

它是指你想很快完成它。但是你想完成它是因为你不是真的喜欢它。

Show me your evidence, and we'll get this over with immediately.

3. Don’t come over here. 别过来。

It means don’t come here.

它就是指别过来。

come here和come over here区别：

• 比较而言，here的意思比较具体，意思是“这里”；而over的意思可以具体，也可以不具体（且通常强调要越过一段距离）。

• 比如你叫一个在你附近（在可见的范围内）的人“过来”，你可以说come here, 也可以说come over；

• 但你叫一个比较远（比如在另一个城市）的人“过来”，你通常会说come over，而不太会说come here。

• 至于come over here，则介于两者之间，但重点在here，与come here的用法更接近。

例句: 

Don’t come over here，your Mom will not allow you to spend your holidays with me together.
