（图片欣赏——区怡摄/湛江） 一天，保姆说：“小家伙，干活会让你感觉好多了。你们的花园实在是需要除草了，你现在去把草除掉吧，做个好孩子！” 但小男孩这天不想去除草。 “我做不到。”他说。 “哦！是的，你做得到，”保姆说。 “嗯，我不想去，”小男孩说。 “但你一定得去！”保姆说。“别淘气，马上去干你的活，按我说的去做！” 她离开去做她自己的事情了，因为她是很勤劳的；但小男孩坐在那里不动，认为自己受到了虐待。 过了一会儿，他母亲走进房间，看到了他。 “怎么了，小家伙？”她问，因为他看起来就像是哭了好几天似的。 “保姆叫我去除草，”小男孩说。 “哦，”他母亲说，“那真是太有趣了！我喜爱除草，今天真是一个好日子！我能来帮忙吗？” “哎呀，可以，”小男孩说。“你可以来。”他们把花园整理得漂漂亮亮，度过了一段美好的时光。 您若认为此文对教育有益，敬 请 传 阅、推 荐、转 载 原文如下，若有问题，可留言，我将尽量回答。 “GO” AND “COME” “Little boy,” said the nurse one day, “you would be far better at work. Your garden needs weeding sadly; go now and weed it, like a good child!” But the little boy did not feel like weeding that day. “I can’t do it,” he said. “Oh! yes, you can,” said the nurse. “Well, I don’t want to,” said the little boy. “But you must!” said the nurse. “Don’t be naughty, but go at once and do your work as I bid you!” She went away about her own work, for she was very industrious; but the little boy sat still, and thought himself ill-used. By and by his mother came into the room and saw him. “What is the matter, little boy?” she asked; for he looked like a three-days’ rain. “Nurse told me to weed my garden,” said the little boy. “Oh,”said his mother,“what fun that will be! I love to weed, and it is such a fine day! Mayn’t I come and help?” “Why, yes,” said the little boy. “You may.” And they weeded the garden beautifully, and had a glorious time. |
