According to a report published by the International Energy Agency (IEA) from the website Mining.com, the global battery and mineral supply chain needs to be expanded 10 times to meet the key mineral demand in 2030. The report concluded that more than 50 lithium mines, more than 60 nickel mines and more than 17 cobalt mines need to be built to meet the 2030 goal of global zero carbon emissions.
