Teachingprocedures

 Step One: Warming up and Lead in

Activity 1 : Work in pairs and have a freetalk about your traveling

1 Do you like traveling?

2 What places of interest did you visitbefore?

3 How did you go there?

Activity 2: Can we visit all the planes inonly one day? How? Think as many ways as you can.

StepTwo:  Reading

 Activity1: Read and answer.

  Howdid Linda visit all the places in only one day?

 Activity 2: Listen to the first part andfinish the true-or-false questions.

   1Mr. Wu invited Linda to join their school trip on October 25th.

2 It took them half an hour to get to theWorld Park by coach.

3 Linda and Kitty didn’t enjoy the trip atthe beginning.

4 They became very excited when they sawthe model pyramids from the coach.

Activity3: Read the second part and answerquestions.

How many places of interest are there in the World Park?
    2 What did Linda think of the songand dance parade?

3 Who wanted to join in the dancing?

4 Where can you see real pyramids?

Activity 4 Do some further reading andanswer questions.

 Activity 5 Read and put the sentences in theright order.  (Finish Part C 2)

1 Task One : Find some words to describetheir feelings in differences and talk about their feelings all day.

At the beginning of the trip… On the cityroads… On the highway… At the gate of the Word Park … Inside the park … Afterthe trip…

StepThree: Post—reading

Activity 1:Choose your favourite place(Group work)

There are over a hundred places of interestin the Word Park. Do you want to know how more about them? Which places ofinterest do you want to visit in the World Park?

Each group choose a picture to talk aboutthe place of interest you want to visit best.

1Where to go ? 2 When to go ? 3  How to go ? 4 Why do you go ?5  What to go?6 Howdo you feel?

T: Each group choose a student to give report.

 Activity 2: Talk about your magic trip aroundthe world like Harry Potter. Where will you go ? Who will you go with? How willyou go to places? What will you see and do there? Please use your imaginationand write an article about your magic around the world.
