Ode to Leaves 1. A dew on a leaf Rolls down into dust Leaf sighs for its departure Dust thinks it immersed in a love tear 2. A ray of sunshine stops On a beautiful leaf Bringing light and warmth The leaf, waving, answers the sun With tears as vapor The sun, confused, sets in the west. 3. A cloud falls in love with a leaf And turns itself into a rain Splattering ans splattering In desire to knock her heart open But the leaf lower itself To let the drops down 4. In solitude, a leaf sings The flower nearby complains about the noise You are just serving as my contrast Before I open my mouth How dare you sing? The leaf stops its singing And withers and withers Till the flower dies And then it revives Waiting for the flower To bloom again humbly 5 After death, a leaf falls into dust With fear and sorry “when I was shining, I wasn't in your arms!” The dust answers: You was a grain of dust Now you returned home. The leaf softly melt into dust. 6. You are my glory The tree says to the leaves Which answer in chorus: You are my love With this, leaves patter the tree 7. A leave is plucked by a child The tree quivers for that No one could feel it But the leaf can So it soon dies. 8. What a leaf likes most to do Is to keep quiet and silent Protecting the flower to bloom And giving shade to passersby But the flower will despise him And the passersby, pluck him. Never will the leaf give up his mission Never will it hate the flowers and the passersby But they need to revive to accomplish its mission. 9. The moment you understand a leaf You understand the life |
