Nightwish - The Greatest Show On Earth 这首史诗作品背后的故事你应该知道！ 本文作者：Airy~白发魔女 听过Nightwish最新那张《Endless Forms Most Beautiful》的人应该都知道，其中有首长达25分钟的歌——《The Greatest Show On Earth》，俗称“地球最屌秀”。这首旷世神作的背后其实有着非常多的故事，今天就带着大家一起涨涨姿势！ 首先看专辑的封面，长得是这样的~ 再仔细看这个专辑封面的人就会注意到，里面囊括的东西丰富到叹为观止~ 有恐龙、猎豹、狮子、大象、海豚、鲸鱼、猴子、猫、马、羊、树、花朵、罗盘、满是高楼的地球模型 、罗盘、齿轮、桥梁、建筑…… （有兴趣的可以自己放大看看~）中间巨大的DNA螺旋吸引了大部分眼球，连2016年世界巡演时巨大的幻灯片上映的也是这个画面！ 今天白毛儿就来哔哔下这首堪称史诗的巨作的《The Greatest Show On Earth》的背后故事。 我们先要说一下这首歌里献声朗诵的主人公——他就是当代最著名的无神论者，英国牛津大学教授，进化生物学家，科普作家，英国皇家学会会员，英国皇家文学会会员——英国的理查德·道金斯。 老爷子1941年3月26日出生，代表作品《自私的基因》很多人应该有了解。就是这位研究进化的学者在2009年出版了《The Greatest Show on Earth The Evidence for Evolution》。BBC还专门以“地球上最伟大的表演”为名，邀请全球顶级科学家、哲学家录制交响曲，全球发布（霍金、道金斯也在邀请之列），妥妥成为我们骚托创作新专辑的灵感来源！ 托马斯很诚恳的写了亲笔信邀请他为新砖献声~老爷子刚开始是拒绝的~但是听了托马斯的创作之后大为感动，亲自上阵朗诵！ The Greatest Show On EarthNightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful 来，我们先扣上耳机打开这首歌~（然后边听边看下面的内容吧） 整首歌长度24分钟，刚开始听到的是一段柔和的键盘，描述了宇宙在137亿年之前还是一个具有无限大密度、无限玩去的时空和无限趋近于0熵值的奇点的状态~就如同宇宙为开辟前的混沌~ 柔和的旋律持续到1:30，鼓、弦乐、和号角声强力插入，如同宇宙大爆炸，中子、电子、质子和光子等微粒在爆炸之后不断膨胀~经过几十亿年的降温、冷却，形成星云、进一步形成我们如今所看到的宇宙~ 同时加入了键盘主旋律，2:53稍微停顿，视野拉至地球所处的太阳系~双簧管的声音仿佛在描绘太阳的渐渐形成，开始出现犹如神灵的女声吟唱~ 3:20地板姐开始唱词 Archaean horizen、the first sunrise on a pristione gaea、opus perfectum 是拉丁语，意为完美的作品 somewhere there,us sleeping~ 太古时代的地平线、第一个黎明到来、鬼斧神工已完成，我们仍在某个地方沉睡~ 5:00开始，特洛伊用爱尔兰锡哨引出新的篇章——我们的篇章~伴随振琴柔美的琶音，这个慢慢趋于平静的宇宙正在孕育不可思议的生命~ 5:20朗诵开始："After sleeping through a hundred million centuries we have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet, sparkling with color, bountiful with life.
