An Ode to Late Autumn

The Bright Creek has now stopped its flow;

The wild grass chants autumn to grow.

A veil of mist hides layers of blue;

The wind feels too tender to woo.

The maple leaves red stir my soul;

Through midnight my dream strays to stroll.

O'er the sill but the moon beams bright;

To bleach my head with her pure light.

高源，1982年毕业于湘潭大学中文系，曾任湖南省政协文史办副主任兼《湖南文史》主编，现任深圳市长青诗社社长、深圳市诗词学会顾问等职。

GAO Yuan, graduating from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Xiangtan University in 1982, once Vice Director of the Cultural and Historical Office at the Hunan Provincial Committee of CPPCC, and Editor-in-Chief of Hunan Culture and History. Now he is the president of Shenzhen Evergreen Poetry Society, and a consultant of Shenzhen Poetry Society, etc.  (贺凤娟 译)
