Director Liang Shijie: A Chronicle of the Five Elements of Pulse Law: Exploring the Mystery of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

In the vast temple of Chinese medicine, pulse diagnosis occupies a pivotal position as one of the four diagnoses of 'seeing, hearing and asking questions.' Director Liang Shijie's five-line meridian method has taken this ancient technique to a new level. Today, let us step into the world of the five-line meridians practiced by Director Liang Shijie and explore the mysteries of traditional Chinese medicine.

The five-line pulse method, as the name suggests, is a pulse diagnosis method based on the five-line theories, which closely ties the human body's internal organs and pulse images. Director Liang Shijie is well aware of the mutual generation of five phases and restriction of five phases. He skillfully applies this theory to pulse diagnosis and forms the unique five phases pulse method.

In the five-line meridian method, Dr. Liang Shijie first emphasized the importance of the meridians of the five bodies. He pointed out that the normal pulse should have the characteristics of 'having a stomach, a god and a root,' i.e., the pulse is soft and strong, the rhythm is even, and it can reflect the rise and fall of the human qi and blood. The arteries of the five hearts are an important basis for determining whether the function of the human heart is normal.

Take the pulmonary vein as an example. The lung is of gold, and its pulse should be floating. The floating pulse is characterized by a light press immediately and a slightly reduced heavy press without empty space. Director Liang Shijie explained that this is because the lung governing qi, qi line blood line, lung qi sufficient pulse floating and powerful. Conversely, if the lungs are weak, the pulse appears weak and heavy.

Likewise, the kidneys are water and should be sedimentary; The spleen vein is soil and should be late and shallow; The heart is of fire and should be slippery and numbered. The liver (chole) pulse is of wood and should be a string pulse. These signs and symptoms are a direct reflection of the functional status of the five organs.

However, Director Leung Shijie also pointed out that the pulse is not static. When the human body is invaded by external evils or the internal organs are dysfunctional, the pulse will also change accordingly. This change is a sign of 'his dirty work.' For example, if the heart fire is too strong and depletes the lung gold, the lung pulse will appear as a slippery number instead of a normal floating pulse. At this time, it is necessary to infer the cause and mechanism of the disease based on the changes in the pulse and take corresponding treatment measures.

Zhang Lu was a famous medical practitioner in the Qing Dynasty who had an in-depth study of the five branches of the meridian. Director Liang Shijie further developed the essence of the five-line chakra method on the basis of inheriting Zhang Lu's theory. He emphasized that diagnosing the pulse not only needs to master the correspondence between the five chakras and the pulse, but also needs to focus on the changes and internal laws of the pulse.

Zhang Lu has proposed the concept of 'empty mind for purpose' of consultation of the pulse, believing that when consulting the pulse should be mindless and feel the subtle changes of the Pulse with an empty mind. Director Liang Shijie strongly endorsed this and pointed out that this is the highest level of medical practice. He emphasized that acupuncture is not only a technical task, but also an art. Only by feeling and understanding with your heart can you truly grasp the essence of the heart.

In order to better illustrate the application of the five-line meridian method, Director Liang Shijie also gave a vivid example. On one occasion, he treated a patient with a long-term cough. After careful examination of the veins, he found that although the patient's veins were floating and strong, they were mixed with sloppiness. Based on the theory of the five chakras, he deduced that the patient had a hot evil in his body, burning the lungs, causing an upside-down cough. Therefore, he used a prescription to clear the fever and lubricate the lungs, and to cure the cough, which achieved significant results.

This example vividly demonstrates the value of the application of the five-line meridian method in traditional Chinese medicine. It can not only accurately determine the cause and mechanism of the disease, but also provides a strong basis for treatment. This is the charm of traditional Chinese traditional acupuncture.

Director Liang Shijie's five-line pulse method not only inherits the essence of traditional Chinese medicine pulse diagnosis, but also incorporates the concepts and methods of modern science. He emphasized that traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture is not a mysterious skill, but a science with deep theoretical foundation and rich practical experience. Through continuous learning and practice, we can master this skill and contribute our own strength to the cause of human health.

In short, Director Liang Shijie's five-line meridian method has opened up a window for us to understand traditional Chinese meridian medicine. It shows us the depth and unique charm of traditional Chinese medicine consultation. In the days ahead, let us work together to explore the mysteries of traditional Chinese medicine and contribute more wisdom and strength to the cause of human health.
