“out play”为啥不行？

首先，并没有 “out play” 这种表达，它也不表示 “出去玩” 的意思。

而连在一起的 “outplay” 倒是一个单词，在球赛等情境中意为击败、战胜，或表示在技能上更胜一筹。

🌰举个例子 

The experienced player outplayed his younger rival in the tennis match.

在网球比赛中，这位经验丰富的选手击败了他年轻的对手。

The home team outplayed the visitors in the second half and won the game.

主队在下半场表现优于客队，赢得了比赛。

其次，“play out” 同样不表示 “出去玩”❌，它指的是事情以某种特定方式发展、发生。

We don't know how the situation will play out, so we must stay alert.

我们不清楚局势将如何发展，所以必须保持警惕。

“出去玩”的英语表达

1、hang out

“hang out” 本意是 “悬挂出去”，常用来指晾晒衣服。但在口语中，“hang out” 常也可以“出去玩；闲逛” 。

🌰举个例子 

Let’s hang out at the beach this afternoon and enjoy the sunshine.

我们今天下午去海滩玩，享受阳光吧。

短语“hang out with sb” 则表示 “和某人出去玩；和某人泡在一起”。

🌰举个例子 

She decided to hang out with her new classmates to get to know them better.

她决定和新同学一起出去玩，以便更好地了解他们。

此外，“hang out” 合写为名词 “hangout”就可以指 “（某群人）常去的地方；聚集处”。

2、go out to play

“出去玩” 最简单的简单说法就是 “go out to play”。

但C姐要提醒大家一下，这个表达多在小朋友的交流中使用，不太适用于成年人描述自己外出娱乐。

在英语中，有这样的说法：“Children play, but adults never play.”

并不是说：孩子们玩，而大人从不玩。

这里play作不及物动词，表示“和同伴玩耍”，小孩可以用play，但成年人就要慎用play。因为，成年人用play表达“玩”，有戏弄、玩弄的味道。

如果是大人说的“出去玩”，比如去酒吧，逛超市，出去浪这种，可以使用C姐前面教的“hang out”

3、a day out

“a day out” 是一个非常实用的短语，意思是“一日游”、“外出的一天”。

类似表达还有：a day trip ，同样表示一日游，但 “a day trip” 更侧重往返的行程，而 “a day out” 更强调外出游玩、放松的体验。 

🌰举个例子 

I’m so tired of staying at home—let’s have a day out somewhere new!

在家待烦了，咱们去个新地方玩一天吧！

We took a day trip to the historic town.

我们去历史小镇一日游了。
