Go out (of) the window 字面为"从窗户出去"，实际引申指某事物突然失去，被抛弃，不再有效，无法实现或失去控制等。

After the scandal, his reputation went out the window.

丑闻之后，他的声誉一落千丈。

All of our plans went out the window when the flight was cancelled.

当航班取消时，我们所有的计划都泡汤了。

1. take...off the table

字面"把...撤离会议桌"，即不再谈判或讨论，实际表示不予考虑，排除在外等。与之相反的表达是 on the table，意为正在讨论，在考虑中。
