(Informal) It is boiling hot in here. 四、用于物体(烧、灼烧相关) 1) 因为温度太高而致毛发、纸张、毛制品等物体边缘稍稍卷起,但没有破坏得严重。这个词的过去分词要特别注意,不是singing,那成了“唱歌”啦,而是singeing 2) scorch:To damage the surface of something by burning it so that a dark mark is left on it : Having the iron on a very high heat can scorch the fabric.
