浅谈初中英语语法教学方法的探索  

 

 

 

遵循教材编排原则,以〈〈新目标英语课程标准〉〉为指导。实践新的教学理论,真正做到为用而学,在用中学,学了就用。如果将这一新课程理念体现在期中,期末阶段的复习课中。使语法复习课也象授新课那样充满活力以及在初3复习阶段初中英语语法应要有系统的复习让学生系统地了解英语语法,为今后的英语打下扎实的基础,下面我谈谈我对初中英语语法教学的几种探索。

 

一:与话题相结合,为语法复习添活力

 

1.以话题为主线将语法复习与听说技能训练融为一体.

 

GO FOR IT九年级Unit6 I like usic that I cat dance to 为例。教师在课前准备各种类型的MP3的音乐

 

Step1:Lead-in

 

Let Ss listen to a piece of music before the class.

 

T:Hello,everyone!

 

Ss:Hello!

 

T:Do you like this piece of music?

 

Ss:Yes./No.

 

T:I like music that is gentle.(Write this sentence on the blackboard.)What kind of music do you like?

 

S1:I like music that I can dance to.

 

S2:I like music that I can sing along with.

 

S3:I like music that has great lyrics.

 

S4:………..

 

通过欣赏一段音乐,谈论各自喜欢的音乐,并呈现定语从句结构,在轻松的氛围中感受并学习新的语言结构。

 

Step2:Activity “Enjoy music”

 

T:Here are many kinds of music . what kind of music do you prefer?( Write “I prefer that…”on the blackboard.)

 

Let Ss listen to the music piece by piece and guess what kind of music it is

 

通过欣赏各种音乐,让学生感受并了解不同类型的音乐。同时,又可以活跃课堂气氛,提高英语学习的兴趣,在谈论音乐中学习,掌握与运用定语从句。

 

又以Unit4 What would you do ? 为例。由复习真实的条件状语从句开始,自然引出本课的新知识——虚拟条件句。然后分几个小话题操练可以让学生快速掌握此句型结构,同时学会用虚拟句向他人提供建议。

 

Step 1: Lead-in.

 

T: What a fine day, isn’t it? If it’s fine this Sunday, what will you do?

 

S1: I will go shopping if it is fine this Sunday.

 

S2: I will climb the mountains if it is fine this Sunday.

 

S3: I will go to the park with my cousin.

 

T: Then if there were no classes this afternoon,what would you do?

 

Tell Ss that there are classes this afternoon in fact.Let Ss know why we use”were” and “would”. Then help Ss answer with” I would do…if there were no classes this afternoon”.

 

S4: I would play basketball with my friends if there were no classes this afternoon.

 

S5: I would go to see my grandparents if there were no classes this afternoon.

 

T:After school Jim played basketball with his friends. He went back home very late and his mother was very angry. If you were him, what would you do? Can you give him some advice?

 

S6: If I were him, I would say sorry to mother.

 

S7: If I were him, I would try to do something to make mother happy.

 

T: There will be an English test. Jim worries about it. What should he do?

 

S8: If I were him, I would study harder.

 

S9: If I were him, I would ask the teacher for help.

 

 

 

2.以话题为载体,将语法复习与道德教育融为一体

 

 德国教育家赫尔巴特曾经说过:教学中如果没有德育渗透,那它只是一种没有目的的手段,德育如果没有教学,就是一种失去手段的目的。教师要明确外语教学中的德育是中学外语教学目的的重要内容之一,增强通过外语学科教学目标的重要内容之一,增强通过外语学科教学渗透德育的意识,认识课堂教学是实施外语教学渗透德育的主要形式,创设积极有效的方法寓德育于英语教学之中。以Unit4 What would you do?中第一课时

 

Step2: Practice

 

T: Bill Gates is a very rich man in the world. He has given a lot of his money to charity. If you had so much money, what would you do?

 

Get Ss to think it over and write down their answers. (Section A 1a)

 

Let Ss listen to the tape and number the pictures. (Section A 1b)

 

Then get Ss to practice the conversation.

 

S1: Look.This old man had a million dollars, and he gave it to charity.

 

S2: Wow! What would you do if you had a million dollars?

 

S1: I’d give it to medical research. How about you?

 

S2: I would buy a big house for my family.

 

在掌握虚拟条件句结构的基础上,教会学生用虚拟语气表达自己的愿望,发散学生思维并渗透德育教育,引导他们关心他人,热心从事公益事业。

 

 在复习课阶段,我精心选材,认真设计,以话题为载体,将语法复习与道德教育有机结合,润物无声地进行了教育渗透。例如,在复习介词in, on 表示时间的用法时,我围绕生日这个话题,设计了一些问题:When were you born? What do your parents usually do for you on your birthday? When was your mother/father born? What do you usually do for them? 教师了解到,有些学生不知道自己父母的生日。因此,教师在复习介词用法的同时,也进行了爱父母的教育。复习情态动词的用法时,我以日常文明行为习惯为话题,借助图片和有关校园生活的照片,让学生讨论,然后汇报自己对这些文明行为习惯的执行情况,说明不足之处,并表示如何改正。在复习形容词的比较级时,我围绕环境这个话题,呈现一些有关环境的图片,引导学生运用相关的语法知识进行描述;学生在复习巩固语法知识的同时,也强化了环境保护意识。

 

 

 

二:巧用谚语学语法

 

 在语法教学中巧用谚语作例子,可激发学生的学习兴趣,使抽象,枯燥的语法规则变得具体,生动而有趣。从而达到使学生易于理解和掌握语法知识的良好效果。

 

1. 比较级

 

1The grass is greener on the other side of the hill. 这山看着那山高

 

2Facts speak louder than words. 事实胜于雄辩

 

3Honesty is the best policy. 诚实为上策

 

4He laughs best who laughs last. 谁笑到最后,谁笑得最好

 

5East or west, home is the best. 金窝银窝不如自己的草窝

 

6Least talk, most work. 少说多做

 

2. 不定代词

 

1. Something is better than nothing. 聊胜于无

 

2. Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. 世上无难事,只怕有心人

 

3. Everybody’s business is nobody’s business. 三个和尚没水吃

 

4. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. 萝卜青菜,各有所爱

 

5. A little knowing is a dangerous thing. 一知半解是件可怕的事

 

6. One good turn deserves another. 礼尚往来

 

 3. 数词

 

1. One boy is a boy, two boys half a boy, three boys no boy.

 

 一个和尚挑水吃,两个和尚抬水吃,三个和尚没水吃

 

2. Two heads are better than one. 两人智慧胜一人

 

3. A stitch in time saves nine. 一针及时省九针

 

4. Health is the first wealth. 健康乃首富

 

5. Two dogs strive for a bone and the third one runs away with it.

 

       鹬蚌相争,渔翁得利。

 

4. 介词

 

1. Good advice is beyond all price.忠言无价

 

2. Pride goes before a fall.骄兵必败

 

3. Experience is the mother of wisdom.经验是智慧之母

 

4. Kill two birds with one stone.一箭双雕

 

5. Never judge a person by his looks.切勿以貌取人

 

6. One thing at a time心无二用

 

7. A friend in need is a friend in deed.患难之交见真情

 

8. A bird in the hand is worth the two in the woods。一鸟在手胜过双鸟在林。

 

5.复合宾语

 

1. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.一天一苹果,医生远离我。

 

2Let the sleeping dog lie.勿打草惊蛇。

 

3.All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.成天工作不玩耍,杰克变成笨小孩。

 

4.Early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy, wealthy and wise.早睡早起使人健康`富有又聪明.

 

5.Money makes the mare go.有钱能使鬼推磨.

 

 

 

6. 定语从句

 

1. All is well that ends well.结局好就一切都好.

 

2. God help those who help themselves.天助自助者.

 

3. He who hesitates is lost.犹豫不决,就会坐失良机.

 

4. A person is known by the company hekeeps.近朱者赤,近墨者黑.

 

5. All is not gold that glitters.闪光的未必都是金子.

 

6 .He who inquires much learns much.问得多,学得多.

 

三.结论

 

 只要教师注意将语法教学与话题和其他方面的知识相结合,精心设计教学活动,就能处理好语言基础知识和语言运用能力之间的关系,并能充分发挥和体现学生的主观能动性,使语法复习课充满趣味性,有效性,有效的提高学生综合运用语言进行交际的能力。同时精美谚语的运用,有助于培养学生语感,启迪智慧,涵养情操,提高审美情趣。因此我们应充分利用这一优秀教学资源。

 

 以上是我对英语语法教学的两种尝试。在语法教学中,只要我们老师采取多种方法多种手段对学生进行教学。这样可以使单调乏味的语法教学变得生机蔼然盎然,妙趣横生。从而深化学生对语法知识的认知和理解。使学生易于且乐于接受和掌握语法知识。
