Step1 lead-in and presentation
This activity introduces new vocabulary.
Teacher shows a picture about a party and a post about a special party. Teacher greets the students and asks if they like party. Teacher says “this Sunday our school are going to have a special party for you .In the special party we have four activities.”
Show four pictures about the special party. ( movie , concert, playing basketball, dinner)
Teacher says “that’s great! You can go to a movie. Go to a concert. Play basketball. Or you can have a dinner.”
Teacher asks “ Can you come to our party?”
Maybe a student answers “ Yes, I’d love to.”
Teacher can draw a happy face..
Maybe a student answers “No, I can’t.”
Teacher can draw an unhappy face.. And then ask why.
Maybe the student answers “I have to do my homework.”
Teacher can write down the reasons on the blackboard. Then ask about 6 students “Can you come to our party?” ,. Then write down the reasons on the blackboard.

This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language.
Show the picture in 1a, ask and answer between the teacher and the students, And then ask and answer between boys and girls by using “can he/she come to the party?”
(设计意图: 1a的match改成看图说话,通过直观图片让学生操练本课所学的新语言知识,即重要词组短语以及新句型Can he /she come to the party? 及其回答No,he/she can’t.和原因He/She has to---(be doing)句型。通过直观有效的操练,帮助学生逐步加深对新语言知识的理解和认识,把所学语言知识渐渐转化为语言技能.)
Step 3 1c Invite your friends
This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language.
Let a student invite the other student. Use “Can you come to our party?” Then let the two students invite another two students. Then let the four students invite another four students. And then let the eight students invite another eight students. Until everyone is invited. Let every student have a chance to speak English. Teacher asks students to invite other students to the party.
(设计意图:这一环节主要是面向全体学生,尤其关注学习基础较差的学生。
尊重个体差异,尽可能满足不同层次学生的学习需要。同时通过邀请同学,操练句型,巩固本课目标语言。)
Step 4 Make a dialogue
This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language. Teacher introduces the four activities in the party, and ask which one the students like to join. Teacher asks who the students like to go with.And let them to invite the best friend to go with them.
Students can leave their seat, and make a dialogue.( Go to a movie. Go to a concert. Play basketball. Or you can have a dinner.)
(设计意图:这个对话有利于学生继续巩固如何邀请对方做某事,提高运用目标语言进行说的能力。 同时任务具有层次和梯度,给学生很大的想象发挥空间,不同层次学生可根据自己的实际水平编出不同层次的对话。)
Step 5 Survey
Teacher asks students make a survey and fill in the chart by using the the target language.

Step 6 Discuss
Teacher asks students to discuss about inviting friend to act out in the party.
Teacher says “ in the party we have a concert .Can you sing , dance or act out? Maybe you can invite your friend to sing, dance or act out with you.” Four students a group. One group one performance.
Discuss with the partners.

Step 7 Homework
(1) Read the new words and the target language after the tape .Pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation.
(2)Oral practice: plan a picnic and invite friends on telephone (电话邀请3-4个朋友野炊)
