In fact, some women around the world are still fighting for equality. _(4)_ It has only been over the last 100 years that women have been granted the right to vote, work, and express their opinions. In most cases, it was female-led strikes, marches, and other demonstrations that began the women's revolution. _(5)_ There is no arguing against how much women have contributed to shaping this world. Therefore, on March 8 of this year, wear a purple ribbon to commemorate and honor women everywhere and perhaps buy some chocolate or roses to thank those close to you.
