A man was detained for five days after taking pictures of a woman commuter on a Metro escalator. The 23-year-old man, surnamed Wu, pointed his iPhone up the woman's skirt on an escalator near the entrance of Line 9's Guilin Road Station at 8:10am on Friday, authorities said. The female passenger noticed Wu's behavior and dialed 110. Wu was taken away by police and given a five-day detention. With the approach of warmer weather, police reminded women commuters to pay attention to their surroundings when taking escalators.
