The most Important Person in My Life Generally speaking, we all have the most
important person in our life. As for me, that person is my grandmother. In my life, my grandmother plays a role of my
mother. I had been living with my grandmother before I went
to university, because my mother went out for a job
when I was very young, and she just goes back home during the
Spring Festival and sometimes she even didn’t go home. My grandmother loves me very much and she
always leaves a lot of good things for me. I have an unforgettable memory about
it. I hadn’t had strawberries when I was very young until one day I returned
home from my middle school at the weekend. My grandmother took out the
strawberries given by a relative. When she took out the strawberries
happily, only to find that they had already been bad. At
that moment, I felt quite moved and warm. Besides,
my grandmother is very kind and she is filial to her parents-in-law. I remember
clearly her parents-in-law lost the basic ability of eating and walking when I
went to the middle school. Only my grandmother had
been taking care of them until they passed away, although my grandfather has another three
brothers and four sisters. There is no doubt that the behavior of my
grandmother has an ingrained influence on my parents, my brother and me. My grandmother is also very open-minded. In
the past, my hometown was quite backward(落后的)and small ,and people there were pretty
traditional and conservative. For instance, boys can’t go to
girls’ home, and vice versa. One day, my boy classmate who is also my friend got
hurt in an accident. To my surprise, after my grandmother knew it,
she immediately suggested that I should pay a visit to him. Now, I am a college
student. I often call her and she always asks me to find a boyfriend. What’s
more, she also provides her advice and criteria for my Mr. Right. My grandmother always takes care of others
rather than herself, so she gets sick. She takes medicine almost every
day and goes to hospital 3~4 times every year since I had memory. So I am very
grieved as I see her take medicine. If there
were a magic medicine, which can cure my grandmother, I would buy it no matter
how expensive it is. All in all, my grandmother is the most
important person in my life. I feel very lucky to have such a kind and
open-mined grandmother. I will love her forever and I wish I could live with
her forever. |
