欢迎大家参与我们的活动！这句话用英语怎么说正确呢？Time and time again, I've heard people saying things like 'Welcome to join our activity.' I felt something was wrong! But exactly how? If you are careful or attentive enough, you probably have heard native English speakers saying things like 'You are welcome to join us again next time'. So, can we really use 'Welcome to come again' instead? or should I say: is it correct grammar?

查了下牛津高阶字典，在作动词用的时候，所有的例句中都不见Welcome to do sth. 这样的句型。请看下面的例句：

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our home.

They welcomed the new volunteers with open arms.

I'd welcome any suggestions.

I warmly welcome this decision.

所以，welcome to后面直接接名词是肯定没有问题的。比如Welcome to Beijing. Welcome to our company. or Welcome to reality. 那么“You are welcome to join us again next time'里面的welcome是什么词呢？继续看字典，终于看到在welcome作形容词的时候有例句:

They're welcome to stay here as long as they like.

再查《牛津英语用法指南》，原来这里是形容词后面接不定式的用法。类似例句有：

We were right to start early.

Be careful not to wake the children.

I was stupid to believe him.

It's very likely to rain.

She's certain to win.

You were lucky not to be killed.

所以，welcome to do sth用作“欢迎你做什么”的时候，把welcome放在句首貌似是中国人比较一厢情愿的做法，正确的说法应该是：

You are welcome to do sth.

就好像进到出租车，冒出的英语“Welcome to take our taxi'是Chinglish。应该说:'Your taking our taxi is appreciated.'

“欢迎大家参加我们的活动”用英文说，You are very welcome to join our activity. or Your joining our activity is highly encouraged.
