My Understanding of Media Literacy

                                          

    When I heard the term 'Media Literacy' from Miss Han for the first time,I thought that it  was a profound subject and had nothing to do with me.But soon I found I was wrong.According to the authoritative interpretation,Media Literacy is a repertoire of competenceies that enable people to analyze,evaluate and create messages in a wide variety of media modes , genres and formats.

   The current age is an age of information.People can get  whatever  they want from varieties of media,such as mobile phone ,computer and  newspaper .The  social media provides thousands of  news and  informations everyday,which include some misinformation that  may  mislead people.We must be very clear about the social environment so that we could make the correct decision which is beneficial to us.

    As far as I am concerned, there are three benefits to learn Media Literacy.First,we can learn more about the different media in different ages.The history of their development can broaden our horizons. Second,we can learn right from wrong when we see a piece of news or watch a film. Third,we can learn the right way of using the media , so that we won't be addicted to them.
