My analysis of a film poster

  

    When I saw the poster first time,I think it must be a comedy. Because it gives me a feeling of relax and energy.Besides, what can I learn from the poster are the title,characters and release date.
   But the poster designer want us to know more from the poster. The 

background consists of an operating paper on which we can see some books ,gear wheel,and some words like”chase outstanding,and success will follow you ”.the use of these elements is in order to reflect the story background is campus.

     We can also see a serious face and three smiling faces in the upper left corner of the poster which conveys that their relation isn’t harmonious. And the color of the background is yellow，which is warm-toned and makes us feel comfortable.And the title “3 idiots” is very obvious, whose font is very large and its style isn’t serious,making the audience relaxed.What’s more,the title also hints that it's a comedy.

   Last but important,the character’s angle in the image is horizontal 

angle, which gives audiences a cordial feeling.The movement of their

 left hands and their smiles shows that audiences are welcome to see 

the film,while the movement of their right hands gives audiences a funny feeling.What’more,the chairs they are sitting on are so funny that they 

creat a humorous atmosphere. 

  I think this poster can attract people's attention greatly.Their aim which is making more profit must be achieved quickly.
