special 强调人或某物具有某种特殊的归属、性质、目的或用途。 常作表语，just means different from normal，较为中性 1、He is special among in our class because he is from Japan。 . 他是日本人，所以在班里显得有些特别。（仅仅显示其国籍与其它同学的不同） 2、The financial system is special. 金融体系有其特殊之处。（仅仅显示与其它体系的不同）
有时也强调修饰对象比同类的人或事物显得更好或更重要，此时作用与especial同，常用于口语化的表达。
