大家上午好！
我是来自长沙市一中高一年级的曾晨希。今天非常开心，能够和我的六个小伙伴们一起，受邀参加亚太低碳技术峰会。尽管我们只是一群中学生，但是我们也想登上讲台来说说我们的故事。
记得在我小学五年级的时候，《长沙晚报》刊登了我的一篇作文《我的低碳之家》，文章中，我们家最主要的低碳活动就是不乱丢垃圾，节约水节约电。至于为什么这些活动很低碳，我也不清楚。其实，“低碳”这个词语是在妈妈带我参加的环保活动上听说的，活动的内容已经记不真切了，但唯有这个新鲜又神秘的名词让我记忆犹新，我希望用“低碳”这个时髦的词汇来吸引读者的注意。老师和同学们说，这个词语很新潮，但是他们没有听说过，爸爸妈妈也解释不清楚。
一转眼，五年过去了，我从一名小学生成长为了一名高中生。随着时光流逝，原本遥远的“低碳”开始离我们越来越近，也越来越真实。我们开始建设真正的低碳之家了。我的妈妈坚持乘坐城际铁路从长沙到湘潭去上班，我的爸爸则选择步行来到办公室，我家小区附近有很多的共享单车，我正在练习骑单车的技术。我发现小伙伴的生活也在发生变化。有的周末乘坐地铁2号线去橘子洲头散步，有的住进了远大住工的节能房屋，有的家里用上了太阳能热水器，有的学会了垃圾分类，有的将废旧电池送往社区集中处理。我们的湖南也变得越来越美丽。长株潭绿心不断输送着新鲜的空气，洞庭湖湿地公园里栖息着很多的候鸟，毛主席的家乡湘潭市正在努力建设低碳城市，保护湘江成为了“一号重点工程”。我和我的伙伴们也加入到低碳活动中来。今天夏天，我们一路走过了6 个城市，到访了3 个典型工业区，选取了湘江流域6 个取水点对水样进行了检测，向24 个省88 个市州和香港特别行政区发放低碳调查问卷3552 份，完成了近3 万字的专题调查报告和走读日记。我们只是一个中学生的代表，越来越多的同学们加入到建设低碳生活的行列中来！
此时此刻，低碳不再是一个陌生和新奇的名词，而是与我们生活相关的点点滴滴，是与整个地球同呼吸共命运的共同体，它无时无刻不在推动着世界的进程，就连我们今天在这里相遇，也是它所带来的奇妙缘分。像是马丁路德金的著名演讲中所说，“我有一个梦想”。也许我们只是中学生，我们也有一个梦想。我梦想着，有一天，绿水青山能够铺展在我的家乡；有一天，每个人都能够呼吸清爽的干净的空气；有一天，极端天气不再影响到我们的生活，有一天，地球所受的伤痕能够愈合——这些都离不开地球公民的努力。我们在行动，今天即将登上领奖台的国际青年气候领袖们在行动，今天的峰会，就是最好的行动。也许我们的行动并不宏大，我们的力量也很微小，但是，只要我们一起行动起来，一点一滴、一步一步，定能创造奇迹，在不远的未来，共建一个属于我们、也属于子孙后代的低碳星球！
Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen! I am Zeng Chenxi, and I am in the tenth grade of The First High School of Changsha. I am honored to be invited to attend the event with my six fellow classmates. Though we are just a group of middle-school students, we hope to share our story on the ???When I was in the fifth grade, Changsha Evening published one of my articles called My Low-Carbon Family. In the article, the main low-carbon behavior in my family was not to litter and to reduce the use of electricity and water. However, I was not quite clear about the reason why those activities were “low-carbon”. Actually, I heard about this word when I once participated in an environmental protection activity. I can hardly remember that event, but the mysterious word impressed me a lot. So I used this word to impress readers . My teachers and classmates said that the low-carbon concept is novel, and they had never been told about it, and my parents could not explain it, either. Five years passed in the blink of an eye, and now I am a tenth-grade student. As time flies, the low-carbon concept, which was so far away from us, becomes a norm. We’ve made our first step to build a low-carbon family. My mom takes the inter-city rail from Changsha to Xiangtan to work, and my dad chooses to get to his office on foot. Bike-sharing is so common around us. Moreover, changes happen in my friends’ life, too. Some of them take the subway on weekends; some have moved into the energy-saving houses of B-house; some of them have learned to classify the rubbish, and others send used batteries to community for centralized treatment. In addition to that, Hunan province is also becoming more and more beautiful. With the green lung of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster constantly provides us with fresh air, the wetland park of Dongting lake is inhabited by migrant birds. Xiangtan, the hometown of Chairman Mao, has spared no effort to build a low-carbon city, making the protection of Xiang River the “No.1 project”. My partners and I have joined low-carbon activities as well. This summer, we visited 6 cities, 3 typical industrial regions and choose 6 spots to check the quality of water. In total, we gave out 3,552 pieces of low-carbon questionnaires in 88 cities from 24 provinces including Hong Kong, and completed position papers ??? and journals with a total number of 30,000 words. But we are just representatives of adolescents, as more and more teenagers are becoming a part of low-carbon ranks. At present, low-carbon is no longer a strange word, but defining word of our daily lives. It is facilitating the world’s development within every hour and minute; even today’s forum was about low carbon. Just as the famous speech delivered by Martin Luther King, “I have a dream”. We students have our dreams too. We have a dream that one day green hills and clear water are but common view; everyone can enjoy clean air; extreme weather will not affect our lives anymore; and scars on the Earth will soon be healed--this is inseparable from the efforts of every human being on this blue planet. Progresses have been made during recent years. Today’s forum is considered to be one of the best actions. Maybe we cannot change the world overnight. But as long as we devote ourselves to the unfinished business, bit by bit, step by step can we create miracles. With this faith we will be able to build a low-carbon planet, not only for us, but also for our next generations. Thank you for your attention and wish all of you a pleasant stay!
