lip service 意思是：随口说说；光说不练；空头支票 ✔️

历史典故

这个表示 '光说不练'的说法据说来自 《圣经》的一句话：These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 这些人用嘴巴和唇舌尊敬我，但他们的心却远离我。

意思就是：这些人在耳边说话，但其实句句都言不由衷。

这个说法开始于17世纪中期。

造句：

That politician is just paying lip service to making changes.

那个政客只是嘴巴说说要做出改变。

常用短语：pay lip service to  最空头支票
