绘本内容介绍
《好饿好饿的毛毛虫》 The sun came up, and on the leaves of the eggs hatched a caterpillar. 太阳出来了，叶子上的卵孵出了一条毛毛虫， It's a very hungry caterpillar. 这是一条好饿好饿的毛毛虫。 My god ! It really very hungry. Can you guess what it ate? 天呐！它真的好饿好饿呀~你们能猜到它都吃了些什么吗？ （毛毛虫到底吃了什么？引起宝宝的关注，吸引注意力。）
In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf. 月光下，一颗小小的卵躺在叶子上
One Sunday morning, the warm sun came up and -POP! -out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar. 星期天早上，暖和的太阳升起来了 “啵”一声， 一条又小又饿的毛毛虫，从卵壳里钻了出来
He started to look for some food. 它要去找一些东西吃
On Monday ， he ate through one apple, But he was still hungry. 星期一， 它啃了一个苹果。 可是肚子还是好饿。
On Tuesady he ate through two pears, But he was still hungry. 星期二， 它啃穿了两个梨子， 可是肚子还是好饿。
On Wednesday he ate through three plums, But he was still hungry. 星期三， 它啃穿了三个李子， 可是肚子还是好饿。
On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, But he was still hungry. 星期四， 它啃穿了四个草莓， 可是肚子还是好饿。
On Friday he ate through five oranges, But he was still hungry. 星期五， 它啃穿了五个橘子， 可是肚子还是好饿。
On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocalate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami, 星期六， 它啃穿了 一块巧克力蛋糕， 一个冰淇淋蛋筒， 一条酸黄瓜， 一片瑞士奶酪， 一截萨拉米香肠，
one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon. 一根棒棒糖， 一角樱桃馅饼， 一段红肠， 一只杯形蛋糕， 还有一块甜西瓜。 That night he had a stomachache! 到了晚上，他就胃痛起来！
The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better. 第二天，又是星期天。 毛毛虫啃穿了一片可爱的绿树叶， 这一回他感觉好多了。
Now he wasn't hungry any more - and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more. He was a big, fat caterpillar. 现在他一点儿也不饿了 ——他也不再是一条小毛虫了 他是一条胖嘟嘟的大毛虫了
He built a small house called a cocoon, He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and... 他绕着自己的身子，造了一座叫做“茧”的小房子。 他在那里面呆了两个多星期。 然后， 他就在茧壳上啃出一个洞洞，钻了出来......
he was a beautiful butterfly! 它已经是一只美丽的蝴蝶了！
亲子互动小技巧tip1：带孩子认识毛毛虫 [What Do You See?] 光是这本书的封面和环村页就能吸引孩子进入故事，不妨指着封面上的大毛毛虫问问孩子:"What do you see?",再带出故事的主角:“I see a caterpillar”。
再问:“What color do you see?",接着用手指着毛毛虫弯弯曲曲的身体和头，带出颜色的概念:"I see green and red"。 也可以这样带出数字的概念: "The caterpillar has one, two, two eyes”，如此一来爸妈可以预先知道孩子对这个故事的不同主题有多少背景知识与词汇量。 tip2：运用插画延伸故事[Extend Your Own Story] 环衬页上有许多色彩鲜艳的小圆球，我会利用这两页鼓励孩子发挥创意"So many circles， can you see the different colors"，并问他们"What do you think they are?"（你觉得他们像什么？）
有些孩子会说， "Candy" (糖果)，有些会说: "Balloons"(气球)，通过让孩子参与的过程，引起孩子对这些小圆球的好奇。 接着在故事中的毛毛虫，因为吃了苹果、橘子、芝士等不同的食物，又因为吃太多而肚子疼，在它吃了叶子之前，加一个桥段，趁机引导孩子健康的饮食概念: "The catepillar went to the doctor and the doctor said ' You have to eat more vegetables.'"（毛毛虫去看了医生，医生告诉他一定要多吃蔬菜） 于是毛毛虫吃了叶子，就便便了。便便顺畅了，肚子就不疼了。 这个经验贴近小小孩的生活，可以借此延伸宝宝的实用生活会话: "May I go to the bathroom?"” I want to go poo poo." ( 我想大便)。
在故事的最后，爸妈可翻回最前面的环衬页说”Let's visit the catepillar's toilet."再指着一颗颗的小圆球，孩子会兴奋地大喊“Catepillr's poo poo!" 爸妈可以指着不同颜色的球问孩子"What did the catepillar eat?" 这时孩子们会很认真地回想故事的剧情，以及每种食物所相对应的颜色，如此一来就可以将故事中的食物再复习一遍!
