Step 1: Warm up
1. Hold up mask for Lulu. Say, “This is Lulu.”
Have the children say Lulu. Repeat this for Danny.
Repeat several times, and have the children say the names.
Step 2: Presentation
1. T: Hold up mask for Mocky and say, “This is Mocky.”
2. Have the children repeat the sentence after me.
3. Repeat the procedure for all the other masks.
4. Hold up each of the masks in turn, and say, “This is …”
S: Make it.
5. At last, hold up a mask but say nothing. Have the children make a sentence of their own.
6. Ss try to introduce their classmates to T.
T: Very good. Ok, you know my name, but I don’t know your name, yes? Can you introduce your classmates to me.
S: This is …
Step 3: Practice and consolidation
1. Listen to the tape, and point to the story.
2. T: Ask these questions about the pictures.
Picture 1: Who can you see in the picture?
Picture 4/5: Who do they meet?

3. 引出本课课文的人物
T: You are so clever, last week we have known some friend’s name. They are Mocky, Ann, Cathy, Uncle Booky and so on, yes? Now there are two new friends, please look at my pictures; they are Danny Deer and Lulu Leopard.
T: (拿出面具) OK, so this is Danny Deer, this is Lulu leopard. This isn’t Danny Deer, this isn’t Lulu leopard. Can you understand me?
T: Oone day, Ann, Ken and Mocky go outside, Do you want to know what happened? 出去郊游,大家想知道发生了什么事吗?
T: Ok, now let’s look at the screen. (Play the flash)
  This is Danny deer.
  This is Lulu Leopard.
