【说明】 凌哥会陆续向大家介绍一些凌哥亲自使用过的阅读教学的活动。凌哥的学生就喜欢被凌哥这样折腾。以前也发布过阅读教学方面的例子，如果感兴趣，可以到“以往内容”中翻阅历史文章。 这些活动通常只是阅读教学中的一个环节，可能是使用于Pre-reading, While-reading或者Post-reading的。 希望能给各位英语老师一些启发，大家在运用的时候，可以根据实际情况改变操作方式。  教材原文 At two metres and twenty-six centimetres, Yao Ming is one of the biggest stars in basketball today. He is now playing for the Houston Rockets in America. He was born on Septeber 12, 1980 in Shanghai. He is the only child of the family. Yao Ming's parents are also very tall and they have good jobs. They lived in an apartment which was different from the others'. Their beds were very long and their clothes were also made differently. When Yao Ming was very young, his parents made him play basketball. He didn't give the sport a second look until he was nine. At that time he was taller, but thinner than his friends. When he was twelve years old, his parents sent him to learn to play basketball. He worked on this game several hours a day. Soon in 1999, he was chosen to be in the Chinese basketball team. Then, he played centre in many matches. Later, Yao Ming opened a lot of eyes with his play during the Olympics. He did better and better. He is now making his chidhood dream come true. 在阅读课完成后，布置学生回家熟读课文。 第二天上课时，在warm-up时，和学生们玩一个听力判断的活动。 【方法】 教师逐句朗读句子，但是每个句子中都漏了一个词，要求学生听句子后，说出缺少的词，然后将完整的句子说一遍。英语指令如下： T: Now Mr Ling will read the story sentence by sentence. But in the sentence, one word is missing. Please tell me the word. And then say the sentence together. The first one is an example. Look at your books and listen: 1. At two metres (and) twenty-six centimetres, Yao Ming is one of the biggest stars in basketball today. Which word is missing? SS: and. T: OK. Now close your books and say the sentence again. 2. He is now making his chidhood dream ____ true. 看出来了吗？凌哥空出的大部分内容（除了12,14）都是功能词。目的是让学生有意识关注语法中容易忽视的地方，比如特别关注了被动语态中的be动词（3，7，13）。 其中有几题，学生很难回忆出来：6、7、8、15。这说明，学生并不是简单地回忆内容 ，而是折射出他们自己的发音问题、表达方式等小问题。
