【原】“岌岌可危”用英语怎么说？

英语翻译有很多技巧，比如在翻译中文的成语时，通常就不能逐字翻译。像今天要学的“岌岌可危”，如果要逐字翻译，“岌岌”就能难倒一群人了！

其实翻译起来也非常简单，我们可以说成 on thin ice，类似于中文的“如履薄冰”。

“岌岌可危”我们还可以说成 hang by a thread，在美剧《摩登家庭》中，Jay把老婆惹生气了，他和Phil解释原因时，就出现了这个表达：

Jay: She's mad at me because I told her sometimes people can't understand her.

Phil: Make it right, Jay. We're all just hanging by a thread.
