go 是一个非常常见的不及物动词，跟生活息息相关，它对应的短语动词不计其数，是一个不得不重点学习的动词，其中 go on 的用法也非常丰富。

一、意为“（演员）上场，出场”，例如：

The actor went on TV to help raise money for the charity.

这位演员上电视为慈善事业筹款。

二、意为“（灯）亮；通（电）；开始运行“，例如：

The spotlights go on automatically when an intruder is detected in the garden.
