今天我们来学习一个非常地道的短语：sort of，意思是：有点儿；有几分；某种程度上。  这个短语可以单独使用，比如： A: Are you tired? B: Sort of. A：你累吗？ B：有点。 A: Do you understand? B: Sort of. A：你懂了吗？ B：懂了点儿。 A: Aren’t you hungry? B: Sort of. A：你不饿吗？ B：有点。 A: Are you feeling better? B: Sort of. A：你感觉好点了吗？ B：好点了。 也可以用在句子中，常见的用法是修饰形容词： I’m sort of tired. 我有点累了。 I’m sort of worried about the interview. 我有点担心面试的事。 I’m sort of busy now. Can you call me later? 我现在有点忙，你能迟点再打过来吗？ My job is sort of boring. I want to do something new. 我的工作有点乏味。我想做些不同的事。 也可以修饰动词和其他部分： I sort of like him, but I don't know why. 我算是喜欢他吧，但我不知道为什么。 He’s sort of thinking about quitting the company. People say I look sort of like my grandfather when he was young. 人们说我看上去有点像我祖父年轻时。 She’s spent the whole year sort of traveling around the world. 她花了整年的时间，算是在周游世界吧。 sort of还可以用在说话中不知道该如何措辞时，此时常加上like一起用： The walls are a sort of greeny-blue color. 墙身是一种绿绿的蓝色。 We're sort of like doing it the wrong way. 我们好像做错了。 英文中和sort of类似的用法是kind of，基本上以上的例句中的sort of都可以替换为kind of。kind of在口语中有时说成是：kinda。你可以试试将上面的句子全部换成kind of/kinda说一遍，找找美剧的感觉。 要注意的是，在这两个短语表达“有点；某种程度上”这样的意思时，一定要记住前面不能加上a。也就是，不要说成是：a kind of或a sort of，那样的话，意思就变成是表达“一种”了。 Now it's your time to open your mouth and follow me! 张开嘴巴跟着录音练起来！ |
