The Good Mother

Mother Teresa lived in India. She taught high school. One day, she walked into the city. She saw sick people lying in the road. “Help me!” cried a thin man. “I must have water.”

“I have to help these people,” said Mother Teresa.

She left her school. She found a group of women. They all said they would help poor people, too. The women gave the poor children food. They took care of the sick mothers and fathers.

One day, Mother Teresa met a happy man. “You gave me water,” he said. “You saved my life.”

Mother Teresa had only a few clothes. She did not have much money. But she felt very rich. She gave hope to many people. They loved her because she was so good.

特蕾莎嬷嬷住在印度。她在中学教书。一天，她走进城里。她看见生病的人们躺在路上。“救救我！”一个很瘦的人叫道：“我必须要喝水。”

“我必须帮助这些人，”特蕾莎嬷嬷说。

她离开了学校。她找到一群女人。他们都说他们也会帮助穷人。女人给穷孩子们食物。他们照顾生病的爸爸妈妈们。

有一天，特蕾莎嬷嬷遇到了一个快乐的男人。他说道：“你给了我水。你救了我的命。”

特蕾莎嬷嬷只有很少的衣服。她没有多少钱。但她觉得她很富有。她给了许多人希望。大家都爱她，因为她如此之好。
