【原】game大家都认识，但你知道gamely吗？

(每次到了影片结尾，真相浮出水面的时候，这个音乐声就会想起，怀念那些心跳加速的时刻。只是，电锯再没有续集了...)

英文中有些副词有两种形式，

如high与highly，deep和deeply，close和closely等，

前者都表示具体方面的含义，后者都有抽象含义。

这些在课堂上都是老生常谈的话题了，

这里不再赘述。

今天，我们来说说几个看似一样，

实则不同的副词“亲姐妹”：

     hard

词义：用力的/地，艰难的/地

词性：形容词/副词

🌰：1. People in those days lived a hard life. 那时候的人们，过着艰苦的生活。

   2. We fought back hard and the enemy ran away. 我们猛烈还击，敌人逃跑了。

      hardly

词义：几乎不

词性：副词

🌰：I can hardly recognize his face. 我几乎认不出他的脸。

     late

词义：晚的/地，已故的

词性：形容词/副词

🌰：Don't be late again ! I warned you. 别再迟到了，我警告过你！

She often thinks about her late husband. 她时常想起已故的丈夫。

     lately

词义：近来

词性：副词

同义：recently

🌰：How are you doing lately? 你最近怎样？

     game

词义：游戏，比赛

词性：名词

🌰：1. Game over. 游戏结束。（每次看到这句，都会想到狮门经典恐怖片“电锯惊魂”的最后一句台词）

2. It seemed that they were going to lose the game.看起来，他们好像要输掉比赛了。

     gamely

词义：勇敢地，顽强地

词性：副词

同义：bravely，courageously

近形：gamey（气味浓烈的）

🌰：She tried gamely to finish the race. 她试图顽强地去跑完比赛。

(学习是一件很勇敢的事，Work gamely！)

    near

词义：近（的），靠近

词性：形容词，副词，介词，动词

（这个厉害了，还么多词性！）

🌰：1. Where is the nearest bank?

最近的银行在哪里？（形容词）

2. Visitors come from near and far. 游客来自四面八方。（副词）

3.  There used to be a pool near the house.过去，房子附近有个池塘。(介词）

4. He is nearing fifty. 他奔五了。（动词）

      nearly

词义：差不多

词性：副词

同义：almost

🌰：The book runs to nearly 1,000 pages. 这本书有近1千页。
