看美剧英语阅读：The dress is a one of a kind “读”到这句美剧里的英语，我们需要回答几个问题： 1、你做了什么？借此查英英字典了没有？ 2、你会“怎么读”？你“记住”的又是什么(语言)：它的中文，还是它的英语？ “学”英语绝对不是仅仅做到“我懂得它的中文什么意思了”就算达到目的了。 一、我们需要养成查英英字典的习惯和能力： 1. 网络字典：One of a kind unique 这是最简单的查英英字典，虽然也“不需要中文”，而是借助(已知)英语知道了英语one of a kind“什么意思”。但是也是最没效果的方法：你只得到一个英语单词释义，只是“思维碎片”，根本没有由此形成完整的“英语思维”：说一句完整的英语句子(口语)。 2.Free dictionary：One of a kind a person or thing that is not like any other person or thing 3.Cambridge：One of a kind 3a.the only person or thing of a particular type: 3b.used to describe a product or service that is the only one of its type, or that is very unusual: 不用英语学英语，你就没有机会把学过的英语unique,unusual,only one等同义词“互为理解”“互为解释”。 4.Collins：One of a kind If you refer to someone or something as one of a kind, you mean that there is nobody or nothing else like them. 在众多的网络英英字典里，我最喜爱的字典之一，就是Collins：它直接就是给你提供一句完整的英语句子(英语思维之谓也！) 二、我们通过“读”美剧The dress is a one of a kind，我们“说的”还是英语： Okay.I got you.If you say someone or something is one of a kind, you mean that there is nobody or nothing else like them,they are unique,they're the only one/the best one of its kind,they're not like any other person or thing 我们的“英语阅读”要的就是我们“会说”这样的英语的习惯和能力。 For example 1.She's a very unusual woman, one of a kind. 2.I don't know how we'll ever replace Mary after she retires.
