It has been a week away since I promised to say something about the behaviour of some students whose physics class I attended and specially observed. I still remember their physics teacher's ecstasy for the students' quick responses and witty feedbacks to her guidance, especially when a boy who was often indifferent to what the teacher was teaching and kept silent all the time began to actively participate in the class activities and could think out of box and hit the nail on the head when answering questions ! When talking about how to cultivate these students who have ever been regarded as "problem students "and had to leave school after being seriously harmed, I made some suggestions to Brother Niu who is an expert in problem students rescueing. But after observing the physics class, I was amazed to say to Brother Niu with much certainty that it is these problem students who should be educated to be enrolled into what are called brand universities because they are really gifted! When I am writing these words, it occurs to me that a WeChat friend, who is said to be a master of mathematics, posted in his WeChat moments that the more gifted a student is, the more harm the formal school education does to! It's hard to accept his idea for me, a teacher in a what is called institutional school.But after being amazed by these so-called problem students, I can't agree more with him. They impressed me with the active mind, quick wit, eloquence, and thinking out of box. They can think about a problem clearly and logically, which shows that they have mastered strong thinking weapons! In my poin of veiw, education is leadind a spiritual life, abundant, substantial, diverse, calm, and deep, which help the students know who I am, where I came from and where I will go by constant interaction with oneself, others, nature and society. I hope they can lead such a life! |
