 农历新年第一天很快就要到了，今天是辛丑年的最后一天，夜幕降临后，除夕就来了！ 祝小伙伴们新年快乐！好运连连！ 除夕中的"除"，意思是"去除，交替"，"夕"指"夜晚"，除夕指的是一年最后一天的夜晚，因此，把今天一整天称作"除夕"是不对的！它与"夕阳无限好"均发生于日落之后。 还有一种说法，认为除夕的"夕"是一种怪兽，除夕即除掉怪兽，这是胡编乱造，除夕也叫除夜，难不成，"夜"也是一种怪兽？ 不过用来说给孩子听，当成一种趣味，也无妨！ "夕"用英文就是 eve，除夕就是 New Year's eve，与"圣诞前夜" (Christmas Eve) 的表达相似；还有"万圣节前夜" Halloween 的词尾 een 同 eve 意思是一样的。 还有一个单词也是相关的，你们可能想不到，它就是 even；even 大家熟悉的是"甚至"的意思，其实，这个单词是多义多性词； 作为副词，它就是"甚至"之意，常用于修饰比较级，说明比较的程度，如 even colder. 作为形容词，它有"平坦的，对等的，偶数的，匀称的，扯平的"意思，比如，"我们扯平了"可以说 We are even. 作为动词，它还有"使平等/均分"的意思； 作为名词，它常作为书面语，意思就是 evening，evening 就是由它加 ing 变来的； 除夕相关词汇： 1. couplets：春联  put / paste up couplets：贴春联 2. sacrifices：祭祀品 (作动词时，意思是"牺牲"；拜神自然是要"牺牲"一些动物了。) "祭祀品"还可以说 sacrificial offerings "摆上祭品"：provide sacrificial offerings "烧香和金纸"：burn incense and joss paper "拜神和祖先"：kneel down to worship the god and their ancestors. 3. reunion dinner：团圆饭，年夜饭 年夜饭还可以说 get together for a feast  4. set off firecrackers and fireworks：放鞭炮，烟花  5. jumping over the fire：跳火堆 Jumping over the fire smbolizes the end of bad luck from the previous year and welcoming a lucky new year. 跳火堆象征着旧年的坏运气已经远离，新年好运即将到来！  6. lucky money in a red envelope：红包  7. staying up：熬夜，守岁 Staying up represents two things：the elders ring out the old year and cherish the time，while the young wish their parents longevity. 守岁有两个含义：年长者惜别旧光阴，珍惜新时光；年少者祝福父母健康长寿。  ~ END ~
