青鸟 绢本设色 2012 Blue Bird Ink and color on silk 50x40cm 王瑋早年是从初习传统绘画开始的艺术修炼,尔后又兼修西画的观念与色彩,后来又在岩彩、天然取彩等东西合并的绘画材料领域里研究,虽然不少收获,但是她并不期望像科学家一样去探求材料,只是偶有尝试。东方、西方、再东方、再西方……正是因为她的艺术经历一直在中与西的形式中跳跃,因此培养了她在绘画塑造能力上的自由把控,也在材料掌握中与作品内容需要之间互相转换。这种绘画造型、材料把控、艺术运用合在一起,技术上的自由使得她的作品又较为容易的在艺术观念上也获得自由。她从不在意材料本身的文化意义,而更加醉心于构建作品氛围上的中式风情。正是因为她在油画和国画间的游走,在当代与传统中的探寻,在材料取法上的广博与中庸,赋予了她作品中的平衡之美,这种平衡之美正是目前人们蜂拥追寻的,内心宁静与悟道而“禅心”脱演的答案。In her early years, Wang Wei began her artistic practice by learning traditional painting. thereafter, she also studied the concept and color of Western painting. This combination of painting modeling, material control and artistic application makes it easier for her works to obtain freedom in artistic concept. She never cares about the cultural significance of the material itself, but is more obsessed with building the Chinese style in the atmosphere of her works. It is precisely because of her wandering between oil painting and traditional Chinese painting, her exploration in contemporary and tradition, and her extensive and golden mean in material selection, that gives her the beauty of balance in her works. The beauty of this balance is the answer to the "zen mind" that people are now flocking to seek, peace of mind and enlightenment. 
这个夏天 纸本设色 2015 This Summer Ink and color on paper 173×93cm 艺术终究是以个人立场来展现情绪的,王瑋的立场便是从容与谈定。她的作品内在构架是高度单纯,外在面貌则颇具意形、意色、意境的形式趣味。她善于在色相很接近的调和色彩中求变化,极大地弱化光影显现,营造起朦胧精致的东方气氛。哪怕是那些乍看之下很有视觉冲击力的作品,细细观摩亦不乏东方女人的含蓄意蕴,这些作品让你从西方的色彩体系进入其中,慢慢安静下来,又走进东方艺术“禅”的境界。缥缈的色相慢慢融化在作者的精神情绪里,以个人立场来感染观众,完成了她的艺术立场与观众的观看获得之间的转化。After all, art shows emotions from a personal standpoint, and Wang Wei's position is calm and settled. 四月天 纸本设色 2015 April Ink and color on paper 134×67cm 她近期的一组工笔小品,更是将这种朦胧的意境注入了情感与意趣基因,完美地抒发了天然真纯的内心情感。在那些大尺幅的创作之后,她收敛心绪,演化了最近的小品系列。这个系列在题材上既有室内静物的组合、也有人与幻想空间的小景营造,整个系列的表达并不拘泥在形与物之间,而在营造绘画气氛。物与物的空间关系虽刻意趋于平面,但构图也因此更自由、洒脱。这些作品中留出的空白,使得画面如同东方艺术在高古时期的人物画一般,飘散着虚实相生的意趣;也如同在佛语的天国,无画处皆成妙境,空灵而具东方意蕴。即使偶尔画其投影,也不只是光影和空间的照搬誊录,而是艺术家为了增加画面层次的巧思设计。Her recent group of fine brushwork sketches injected this hazy artistic conception into the gene of emotion and interest, and perfectly expressed the natural and pure inner emotion.
