Welcome back. Wow, that was unbelievable. Bad guys turned out to be good ones, and a good person turned out to be a monster. What is the world coming to? I am getting so confused. I think we can only look for the answer from the next episode. Anyway, let’s learn some important tips of pronunciations first.

例如:great teacher

You can stop pretending, now!

I looked for it all day.
这个句子for it合读为/frit/

I can’t believe she fell for it!
这个句子for it合读为/frit/

1. drag [dræɡ] v.

It means to pull somebody or something along with effort and difficulty.

In this dialogue, Armand said, “Drag her over here!”, since an adult should not be very light.

Drag the chair over here so I can stand on it.

2. tie [taɪ] v.

As a verb, it means fasten with string / rope.

It means to use rope and put it around a person so that they cannot move.

Masked robbers broke in, tied him up, and made off with $8,000.

3. gulliable [ˈɡʌləbl] adj.

It means too willing to believe or accept what other people tell you and therefore easily tricked.

The advertisement is aimed at gullible young women worried about their weight.

4. fool [fuːl] n.

It means a person who you think behaves or speaks in a way that lacks intelligence or good judgement.

: idiot

I felt a fool when I realized my mistake.

1.fall (fell) for it 轻易相信 (注意:fellfall的过去式。)

It means someone believes a lie.

He might seem like a nice guy, but don't fall for it. He's a jerk.

这里的"fall for it"或者过去式"fell for it"是固定搭配,例如在使用过去式"fell for it"时,不可以说"She fell for the story."或者别的,只能使用"fell for it"。

2. The cat’s out of the bag.

It means the truth is out. Cats always let us feel they are mysterious. So when a cat is out of the bag, the mystery is out, and then we know the mystery (we know the truth).

Curiosity killed the cat.

A: That movie star and his wife are divorcing.

B: The cat’s out of the bag.
