主机主起动阀无法打开时，为了启动主机需要应急操作主起动阀。但在用的主启动阀设计导致操作过程复杂，需要拆卸部分部件，耗时相对较长，会导致无法快速、及时启动主机，不能达到及时获得船舶动力的缺陷，不利于避免事故发生。 现用的主起动阀应急操作步骤如下：1、逆时针转动手轮，拆下导向销。 2、拆下手轮和定位板。 3、将主起动阀定位板的限位连锁开关锁闭。 4、用专用扳手逆时针旋转90°。此时满足主机应急启动操作条件，启动主机。 建议将主起动阀的定位板结构改进如下图：
如上设计可以在应急情况下快速主启动阀，缩短处理主起动阀不动作的时间，应急操作步骤如下： 一、拧下1.螺杆上的元宝螺母。 二、取出3.止动块，旋转90°放置。 三、插入专用扳手逆时针旋转90°即可。 主起动阀专用扳手如下图：
在用的主起动阀应急操作过程需要50S左右。而采用新型设计的只需要5S左右即可完成。这样可以快速、及时提供船舶动力，避免恶性事故发生。 Dear sir: I’m a chief engineer who has worked on board for more than 20 years.
