Hi，大家好！欢迎大家来到解忧英语作文馆！ 本期要更新的是《好词，拿去用》第七期！ 我们每天都会花很多时间在“说”这件事上，但有多少人能清楚地用英语来表达“说”这件事呢？“说”该用speak，say，talk，还是tell来表示，这期节目就先来研究研究两个最常用来描述“说”的动词——say和tell。
我们常用say + that的结构来转述他人说过的话，通常that可以省略。如： She said (that) she was hungry.她说她已经饿了。 He says (that) he’s a friend of yours. 他说他是你的朋友。 注意：say后面不能跟间接宾语。例如， 正确：He said he was a doctor. 他说他是个医生。 错误：He said me he was a doctor. 但可以say to+间接宾语（说的对象）。例如， What did they say to you? 他们对你说了些什么？ He said something to Tom’s friend. 他对汤姆的朋友说了些什么。
Tell的用法却相反。使用tell时，必须要跟间接宾语。例如， 正确：She told us (that) she was from Japan. 她告诉我们她是日本人。 错误：She told us (that) she was from Japan. 注意：通常情况下，tell后不接to。 正确：Jack had to go, but he didn’t tell me why. 杰克一定要走，但他没有告诉我为什么。 错误：Jack had to go, but he didn’t tell to me why. 以上是say和tell最主要的语法区别。但我们怎么知道什么时候该用say，什么时候该用tell呢？ 1. 用来转述他人说过的话，say和tell 都可以用，但要主要用法上的差别： She said (that) she was hungry. 她说她已经饿了。 She told me (that) she was hungry. 2 我们常用tell about来谈论一般性的话题： 正确：Her grandpa told her about his childhood. 外公和她聊了他的同年。 错误：Her grandpa said her about his childhood. 3 我们常用tell来打听消息： Can you tell me where to buy a ticket? 你能告诉我哪有卖票的？ 4 我们常用tell to来给某人建议： The pilot told us to fasten our seatbelts. 飞行员告诉我们系紧安全带。 6 此外，tell的固定搭配中不能用say 来代替tell。 例如： Tell the truth（说实话），tell lies（说谎），tell jokes（说笑话）， tell stories（讲故事），tell secrets （透露秘密），tell someone news（告诉某人消息）等。 今天就先分享到这。更多关于“说”的表达，将在下期介绍。 It’s Your Turn! 除了say, tell, speak, “说”还可以用哪些单词可以表达？ 快和小编说说！ |
