景路先生早年接受了严格的写实绘画训练，具有扎实的写实功底。在从艺四十余年的漫长旅程中，没有放弃对油画的探索与创新，他将西方的绘画技法同中国的水墨意境相互融合，一直在寻求一种全新的表现方式。数十年来在油画创作上潜心探索对精神世界的执着追求。

他的油画作品有一种明朗、清新、纯朴和对生命细节的敏锐捕捉力和感受力，具有流畅感、力度感和色彩感，以浪漫、抒情的带入感进入一个新的境界。作品所传达的氛围和意境具有浓郁的时代气息和鲜明的时代色彩。不经意的一幢建筑，一抹树荫，一群牛羊，人物的三三两两都在其笔下富有表现力的艺术瞬间，传递的是艺术家与自然的心灵交流，更让观者有一种情感的共鸣与体悟。这种真善美的传达是精神的力量，传递出符合时代特点的气息。

他的人物、静物、风景创作注重表现人物内在的精神气质，静物的唯美和风景的真实性传达，这种孜孜以求于油画语言和色彩所能呈现的感染力只有流于内心的真情实感方能准确的捕捉与传达。尤其风景作品用以鲜明的色彩，流畅的笔触和高雅的色调来礼赞自然，充满着对自然，对现代生活的热爱与真情。

景路先生早期创作珍藏的油画作品集中在05年-07年，大量的油画写生作品是先生赋予对生活的热爱，对乡愁的思恋，尽显敏锐的观察力和纯熟的技巧，构成了他现实主义艺术脉络与风格。他没有孤傲与冷漠，没有夸张与抽象，而是具体而真实的描绘着事物的本身。

他的油画有精心雕琢的部分，又有大气磅礴的气度，正如景路先生创作的大型油画《广西西漠海上丝绸之路系列“合浦郡码头”及“廉州府”》均是巨幅油画作品。

先生具有中国传统绘画艺术的继承，又有当代特征的国际语境，在其具备精深的画面造型基础和驾驭色彩的能力面前，更呈现出一种诗一般的、浪漫的现实主义风格与情怀。
