这样的组合有很多, 如internal/external 等等。

submersible, submarine

submersible, 名词, 潜水器 (a type of ship that can travel underwater, especially one that operates without people being in it)

submarine, 名词, 潜艇 (a ship that can travel underwater)

bow, stern

bow, 名词, 船头 (the front part of a ship)

stern, 名词, 船尾 (the back part of a ship or boat)

-We walked round to the rear of the house.

disaster, catastrophe,apocalypse

disaster, 名词, 灾难 ((an event that results in) great harm, damage, or death, or serious difficulty)

-An inquiry was ordered into the recent rail disaster(= a serious train accident).  inquiry:调查

catastrophe, 名词, 大灾难 (a sudden event that causes very great trouble or destruction)

-They were warned of the ecological catastrophe to come.

apocalypse,名词, 大灾难 (a very serious event resulting in great destruction and change)

-The book offers a vision of the future in which there is a great nuclear apocalypse.

accident<disaster<catastrophe<apocalypse

disaster-disastrous

catastrophe-catastrophic

apocalypse-apocalyptic

expedition, adventure

expediton, 名词, 探险 (an organized journey for a particular purpose)

adventure, 名词, 冒险 (an unusual, exciting, and possibly dangerous activity, such as a trip or experience, or the excitement produced by such an activity)

-The expedition to the Titanic wreckage took a lot of planning and a submersible to get there.

wreckage, debris

wreckage, 名词, 残骸 (a badly damaged object or the separated parts of a badly damaged object)

-Presumed human remains have been recovered within the Titan submersible wreckage.

debris, 名词, 残片 (broken or torn pieces of something larger)

-Debris from the aircraft was scattered over a large area.

-The remotely operated vehicle found 'five different major pieces of debris' from the Titan submersible.

wreckage-remains, ruins

debris-litter, waste
