My Beloved Hometown Anyang
I feel honored to introduce my beloved hometown Anyang to all of you.
Anyang is one of Eight Ancient Capitals of China with a brilliant civilization stretching back for more than three thousand years. It is one of the key birthplaces of Chinese ancient culture and the home of Oracle.
As a national historical and cultural city, Anyang witnessed numerous changes of China and weathered different kinds of challenges. From ancient times, a lot of men of letters wrote countless poetry and essays about its gloriousness and magnificence. Many renowned stories also happened in this beautiful place, such as Dayu regulated rivers and watercourses. In modern times, many famous men left their footprint here, too. In the 1952, Chairman Mao visited Anyang and gave great anticipation to this city and its diligent people. In 1956, Guo Moruo left us a very beautiful poem of the beauty of Anyang .In 1991 and 1996, the President Jiang Zemin also visited Anyang and encouraged the Anyang people to move forward bravely and rigidly.
The long history and splendid culture of Anyang is a treasure not only for China but also for the world. There are also many places of interest in Anyang, such as Yinxu Museum, Tianning Temple and Wenfeng Pagoda.
