none, no ,no one, nothing 都是表示否定的词.
none,表示"没有一个人或物(东西)".在句中可作主语,宾语或同位语.例如:
作主语: None of the women knew how to write in the old society.
(在旧社会妇女都不会写字.)
作宾语: A friend to all is a friend to none. (作介词宾语)
(滥交友者无友) [谚语]
作同位语:They none of them said anything about it.
(关于那件事他们谁也没有说什么.)
none 用来说明所有人的情况时,动词要用复数,例如:
None of us are perfect.(我们所有的人谁也不是完人)
用来说明每个人的情况时,动词用单数,例如:
None of us has got a watch.(我们每个人都没有手表.)
可以用它来修饰可数名词和不可数名词.例如:
None of the paper is good enough for me to write on.
(没有一张足够好的纸,让我在上面写字.)
None of the money is mine.(这钱都不是我的.)
表示"三个或三个以上都不.......",所以,"我们(三个人以上)都不
去"要译成英语,就必须是: None of us will go.
而决不能把它译成: We all will not go.或者
All of us will not go .
no 只有形容词的性质,常作定语来构成否定句,
可以用来修饰可数名词或不 可数名词.例如:
There is no fire without some smoke.(有火就有烟.) [谚语]
There is no need to hurry him. It's still early.
(不必要催他,时间还早着呢.)
实际上,no 就是 none 的缩短形式.
no one 只能用来指人,等于 nobody ,not anybody ( 没有人..,谁也不..)
none 既可指人,也可指物.应用的范围比 no one 宽些.
nothing 指没有任何物品(东西).例如:
Nothing in the world is difficult for one who puts his mind on it.
(世上无难事,只怕有心人.)
nobody, no one, nothing只能单独使用，后面不跟of短语。
他们当中没有人会讲日语。
误：Nobody of them can speak Japanese.
正：Nobody can speak Japanese.
正: None of them can speak Japanese.
(2) nobody, no one, nothing和none常用作简略答语，
一般情况下，
nothing回答what问句；
nobody和no one回答who问句；
none回答how many或how much问句。
①—What’s in the box ? 盒子里有什么？
— Nothing. 什么也没有。
②—Who is in the classroom? 谁在教室里？
—Nobody / No one. 没有人。
③—How many people are there in the park? 公园里有多少人？
—None.没有人。
