一般来说
some-开头的这类复合不定代词用于陈述句；
any-开头的复合不定代词用于否定句、疑问句和条件句。
例句
Does anyone know Kafka’s telephone number?
这里有人知道卡夫卡的电话吗？
Something terrible must have happened.
不好的事情一定发生了。
There is nothing wrong with the machine.
这台机器没问题。
有两点需要注意
❶ somebody/anybody指有一点地位或者名气的人，而nobody指没有名气的人。
同理，something往往指了不起的人或事，nothing指没有什么了不起，注意情感倾向。
He thinks himself somebody, but we think him nobody.
他自以为自己是了不起的人，但我们认为他什么也不是。
I thought the project something, but it was nothing.
我原以为这项工程了不起，但结果它什么都不是。
❷ nothing but表示“仅仅，只不过”；anything but表达“根本不”。
He is nothing but a teacher.
他仅仅是一名老师。
He is anything but a teacher.
他不可能是一名老师。
