Patient left this room with a chance to survive theynever would have had without the skilled professionals that filled the room. Traumaticarrests in young people and other trying calls are bittersweet because you knowyou've got a real chance of them dying, but you get to use your skills and makea difference. That's the gamble we all love to play, isn't it? Thisphoto reminds me of the very first call I ever attended! Traumatic arrest fromsuicide with gunshot to heart. He did not survive even though ER doc crackedhis chest. Bullet hole through left ventricle. Always sobering experience nomatter how many times been there, done that.
