当我们对思考已久的事情，突然明白或醒悟时，可以说是“恍然大悟”了。那么问题来了，“恍然大悟”用英语该怎么说呢？

① it occurs to me

这是一个使用频率很高的表达，日常生活中经常会用到。

在美剧《摩登家庭》中，Cameron对Mitchell道歉时，就用到了这个表达：

It occurs to me that I may have gotten a little too upset and jumped to some conclusions that were perhaps not true. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for accusing you.

我觉得，我可能有点过于不安了，还得出了某些或许不正确的结论。我想说，我很抱歉，我指责了你。

② it hit me

hit 表示“击打”，但这个表达可不是“它打我”哦。

在美剧《马男波杰克》中，马男对卡洛琳告白时，就用到了这个表达：

Carolyn: They didn't give you fake bourbon on set?

Bojack: Oh, they did, and then I just mixed it with bourbon. And it hit me. Why was I so upset about Diane getting engaged? You're the one who's always been there for me.

③ epiphany /ɪˈpɪfəni/ n. 对事物真谛的顿悟

在美剧《生活大爆炸》中，Sheldon免费去Penny的店里帮忙，接着就出现了下边的对话：

Sheldon: Since I don't need to be paid, I didn't need to be hired.

Penny: Sheldon, this is ridiculous.

Sheldon: Is it? Just a moment ago, I had a minor epiphany regarding the polymer degradation phenomenon while scraping congealed nachos off a plate.

-既然我不领薪水，也就不需被录用。

-谢尔顿，这太荒谬了

-是吗？就在刚刚，在刮掉盘子里凝结的玉米脆饼时，我突然间就顿悟了，聚合物降解现象。
