不过有人测试了一下人类骑自行车的效率，他简直是个天才, 这效率把秃鹫远远甩在身后，直接爆表了。

somebody there=在那里的某人
there指的是Scientific American杂志那里
have the brilliance to do sth=非常睿智地决定去做某事

a human=a human being=一个人
humans=human beings=人类
注意mankind本身表示人类, 不可数

blow away字面意思是吹跑了
blow是吹的意思
注意原文中的blew是过去时, 读音和blue相同

blow away作为短语有2个常用意思
第一个是表示被深深折服
比如I was blown away by her performance
第二个是表示击败
A human being riding a bicycle blew away a condor

off the chart意思是说本来有一张chart来呈现大家的数值, 而你的数值如此之高, 完全超出了chart的范围
中文里有一个很神似的表达: 爆表
all the way则加强了语气, 就好像沿着这个chart一路向上, 直到爆表, 非常形象
